"Excellent minimalist hotel that looks modern. It is conveniently located along the shopping street of Otaru and a stone’s throw to the famous Otaru canal, a short but scenic view of the town."
"Very good location near to the Otaru canal and very cozy and warm ambience. Love the public bath and the bar on the top floor which I check in every day. I will definitely come back."
"We booked a room with twin beds hoping it is bigger and allows us to open two large luggages. The room is very clean and modern. The staff is very polit and my room has a very nice view. It is very convenient and just around 10 mins walk to the cancel and shopping street and many restaurants around. As we were too tired so didn’t use its public bath but they offer coffee in day time which is good. In fact, what surprised me was the breakfast. Though it is a buffet in a small area, but it has enough variety, with many local food and delicious. Just think it would be even better if the room can be maintained better as the furniture got some dated signs."
"The hotel is quite dated. Can see that the decor, furniture etc are all probably seen decades of use. Regardless, the location was great - just outside the train station. I can leave my luggage immediately and go sightseeing. Breakfast too was great. The eggs were so good. Finally, there’s natural hot springs too that was amazing after a tiring day."
"Hotel Nord Otaru is just next to Otaru Canal, very convenient location. Especially wanted to choose this lovely hotel which I stayed 10 years ago in year 2015 with my family of 5 person. Booked to stay 3 nights in 2 rooms, one with Otaru Canal view and another with city view. Breakfast is considered good and satisfactory, with snowy canal view.Although is an old classic hotel but is nostalgic to me, clean and well-maintained. Staff service is good but please note one of my room somehow came with no cleaning room service, additional charge 500 yen per day to clean it. For my another room that has daily room cleaning service, just make sure remember to place outside the door knob, the hanging door card requiring room cleaning, else they will not clean. All is clearly explained by staff and also stated in a note given on the day when you checked into your room. Overall, I am happy with the stay and will come back same hotel again."
"The stay was great, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Loved the lobby vibes, slightly grand yet cosy. The rooms were well equipped and bed were firm and comfy especially for those with back problems. Breakfast was a gd spread. Also I misplaced my iPad and the team was very helpful in retrieving it for me. Would definitely return when I visit Otaru again."
"The nice hotel in very central location just at the canal. Hotel has vending machine, washing machine and onsen. Downstairs is very nice cosy cafe and grill restaurant. Rooms are very clean. We enjoyed our stay."
"Bit far from the station but near to music box museum , hotel interiors were nicely done up, guess the owner might be interior designer or architect. Public bathroom to share with, also small kitchen will all cooking essentials etc oil, sauce and also coffee tea."
"Room is clean and spacious with superl convenient location. Daily amenities are sufficient and supplied too!"

Amazing
GGuest UserWe travelled by rental car so the location wasn't a problem and not far from Otaru canal and main attractions. The staff's service was superb. The whole hotel is tatami floor. There were small events like Japanese dancing for guests and camping with free snacks. The hotel's garden was nice. I really enjoy staying at the hotel.
GGuest UserWe rented a room and arrived at Ginrinso. They came running to help us with our luggage in 2 minutes and gave us warm hospitality from the moment we checked in. The kaiseki was really good, and the accommodations were also really nice. Personally, I think the night view of Otaru is the best at Ginrinso. The hospitality is so good that I wonder if it's okay. It's a bit pricey, but I highly recommend it. You can enjoy Japanese hospitality, delicious kaiseki, and see Otaru and the ocean all at once. I will visit again next year.
GGuest UserClassy hotel with free wine for hotel guests and if you want some classy cocktails or good selections of whiskies, it’s just by the entrance. The breakfast is fantastic too. Lots of homemade goodness and delicious scones too.
GGuest UserThis hotel is located at higher point of Otaru. You can enjoy the scenery, the coldness and the quietness. Do include breakfast and dinner. Dinner is very romantic if you going with yr girl friend. She will be impressed Lunch can be arranged in the town. You can arranged transport with the hotel. Not to come back late
SScudLimCozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!
GGuest UserThe hotel was great. They accommodating all our needs. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was delightful! The photos are right out our window. There is literally a resort across the street. The onsen was clean and relaxing. Parking available.
GGuest UserThe room features four beds plus a sofa bed, along with a fully equipped kitchen that includes utensils, a microwave, an oven, and a hot plate. The bathroom is fitted with a washing machine and hot water facilities. This property is located in Otaru, and you'll need to pass through Sapporo each time you travel. If you have limited time, it may be more convenient to stay in Sapporo to save time. We chose this location for its beautiful views, excellent room amenities, and free parking. Overall, we had a great experience here, with a Lawson convenience store and a market nearby for easy access to supplies.
GGuest UserOMG! This was the first thing we said as soon as we entered the room. It’s so spacious and comfortable. The pictures don't lie! Everything was perfect, and the location is ideal, being so close to the train station. We absolutely love list apartment style. *chef’s kiss*
