Overall I am happy with my stay here. Firstly, the hotel is in a perfect location in the heart of Glasgow city centre and very close to trains, buses and metros. You are also surrounded by bars, restaurants, cafés and shops. I was very impressed with the room. It was spacious and with an adequate amount of storage. I liked the modern decor and the room was spotless. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar and bowling alley on the top floor looked cool. I marked the room down for amenities because it didn't have a kettle and the desk should have included a mirror so I could sit and do my make up.

A newly refurbished Premier Inn. Nice basic rooms with good bed and shower. Location is decent, not as good as the city center shops of this chain, but a pleasant 10-15 minute walk into town. If you are traveling by car, this is a good option as the access and car parking facilities are good.

Were one of the few hotels in the city center to have a swimming pool and gym, so theres even more reason to stay with us if youre into keeping fit.
With so much to see and do in this buzzing city, youll want to keeping coming back time and time again.
The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it. Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch. Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee.

Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott near the SEC/Ovo Hydro for a gig and it was ideal. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable — exactly what you want after a late night. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, and we had food at the bar in the evening which was also spot on. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you're going to a show at the Hydro or Armadillo — it's basically a 5-minute walk so no hassle getting back after the event. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Glasgow for a concert.

Great
KKevinNMooreLovely experience from start to finish, the oversized coffee mugs was a great touch, thank you for that ☺️ and I got to see possibly the most unique sight just round the corner, pictured, as for the lobby and the hotel, a mix of modern, art deco and comfy seating downstairs.
Be warned the bed was HUGE!!! I could fit 3 full size pillows across, so no danger of falling out for me ☺️
I will be going back 👍
GGuest UserThe room offers a view of a giant mural. Downstairs, there's an outdoor restaurant, but the soundproofing is good, so it's not noisy at all. It's very close to the subway station and supermarket, and only a 5-6 minute walk to the train station. The room comes with a microwave and a fridge, and there's plenty of hot water. The air circulation system is also adequate.
GGuest UserFriendly waiter/bar staff in Steven. Beer - very good. Ambience very good. Ate out for dinner. Heating in room very erratic, only works when cars in. So room cold on return. Disabled room, bathroom door opens right out into room and moves fast with no stopper, middle of the night I head butted door on opening it as it swung away. No lasting damage done but a bit dangerous. Partner said bathroom freezing during night.
Breakfast bang average - no traditional Scottish tattie scones, no scrambled egg and fried eggs are white of an uncooked type. Despite asking twice for a flipped fried egg - same white silicone esque rubber circle. Defo not edible. Waiter rude to my partner when asked about replacement. Clearly no frying facilities being used. The milk of which I had a glass of was the wateriest milk and most unpleasant taste - was it Uht? Or powdered with water added? Baked beans and sausages very tasty. No HP or Heinz sauces. Some of bread poor quality. Coffee from a work style urn. Not very modern.
Parking overpriced and car which had been washed prior to arriving was filthy on departure with a brown layer of dirt on it.
I note that website chooses to mention under Historic Sites: Hampden Park and Celtic Park: 4.0mi | 14 min drive
Funny that Ibrox Stadium - with the iconic Main Stand which is closer than the above is not given a mention. Bigotry alive in well in the hotel establishment management.
Won’t be returning or recommending.
GGuest UserThe air conditioning was a bit tricky; it kept blowing cold air at first. It took a while following the instructions to finally get it to blow hot air. I guess most three-star hotels are similar. There were hairs on the sheets, and the room was small because it had no window. However, the location is excellent, very close to the train station, bus stop, and city center. It's fine for a night or two.
GGuest UserBasic hotel but in an ideal location short walk to Sauchihall Street, great restaurants close by. Antipasti if you like Italian. Sichuan house, brilliant Chinese restaurant.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Free WiFi also a free drink from the bar. We didn't have breakfast we went out to eat but there is breakfast for an extra £12 per day if you prefer.
SSapphirexIbis Styles Glasgow Central is a good location to stay should you intend to layover in Glasgow. It's about 10 minutes walking distance from Glasgow Central Station and within 15 minutes from fast food eateries and shopping places. Rooms are clean and basic amenities are provided for. Breakfast is good and incorporates a mix of international and English cuisines.
HOWEVER, I have had a bad experience regarding a certain payment. I booked this hotel via Trip.com and have prepaid for my stay. When I checked in on 17/7, I was told by the receptionist of that day that my card details were needed. I was assured that there would be no deduction performed and that the details were only required should there be incurred damages in my room during the stay. Yet, on the same day evening, I received a notification that 143 pounds had been deducted. I questioned the receptionist of that day and was reassured, and I quote: ”There was this transaction made to confirm that your card is not a dunce and is payable.”
The next day, before checking out, I reconfirmed with the receptionist of that day (18/7) if the money would be refunded to me. After checking on their end, they said that the money will be refunded. This morning (19/7), I have just received another notification that the status of the 143-pounds transaction has changed from pending to approved. I am disappointed and upset regarding this, and I would like to urge future travellers to be wary of this incident.
AAnonymous UserI liked the room which was very spacious, clean and the bed comfortable.
The staff were nice and helpful.
The hotel is very well located.
I think the breakfast needs improvement but this is really the only small concern
BBee HoonWe stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.
GGuest UserHave stayed at this place a few times now over many years. Great location, staff friendly. However comparing it to our other visits to (The Ponds) Leonardo we had a few niggles. Most of these concerned the bathroom. Firstly, when turning tap towards cold, the water came out like an explosion. We can only assume that it was some sort of air lock. The bathroom was very tired looking. The ceiling looked awful, like mould and the seal around the bath needed redoing. Lots of black mould, due to no ventilation. We knew beforehand there was no air-con, however the temperature was unbelievably hot. One of the lifts was out of order for all of our stay. The other lift was incredibly slow when called.
GGuest UserMuch more basic than expected. Bed was made up of two singles which barely stayed together through the night. Tea and coffee facilities were poor as were the toiletries. Not worth the price at all. Breakfast at £14 per head was totally overpriced. Food was luke warm and very bland. Will not be back.
