"We enjoyed the comfort, coziness, and the gentle atmosphere of the shared spaces, which exceeded our expectations. Our toy poodle was also very happy because the beautiful Hachijohama beach is just a short walk away. We will definitely return again. Thank you for a wonderful Golden Week!"

"I highly recommend this hotel for those driving. The hotel facilities include a daytime onsen (hot spring), and many locals drive up the mountain in the evening to soak in the hot springs. Dinner is not included, but you can drive back to Miyazu for a meal. Breakfast is included; the dishes are simple yet delicious. The hotel staff are very friendly, especially one older male employee who was very kind and honest. I also loved the pristine scenery of Kyotango and the friendly locals. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I visited Amanohashidate. By the way, there are deer on the mountain, so please drive slowly and carefully."

"This place blew us away. The location was close to the beach where we had a swim and the onsen at the location was the finest I had ever experienced. The room had a tatami area for sleeping and a little dining and cooking nook that we ended up using each day. The meals at the various restaurants were delicious and accompanied by stunning views of the hills and sea. We had such a restful time here that we would definitely wish to return."

"The location is a bit far from Kinosaki Station, but it is very convenient for playing golf. The staff are very friendly. Although they don’t speak English, they still try their best to introduce you. There are indoor and open-air hot springs, and the open-air ones are fenced, but it feels a bit private. Breakfast is The Japanese style is very rich; our room is on the second floor, and we have to carry our luggage, which is a bit inconvenient."

"I had a wonderful stay at Amino Guesthouse Bench. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, which really makes the place special. The guesthouse is very clean, comfortable, and well located, just a short walk from the beach. Amino is a lovely village, especially in winter if you’re looking for calm, quiet, and a real sense of rest away from crowded places. I truly loved the atmosphere and my time there. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic stay."

📍 3778 Tangocho Taiza, Kyotango
★★★★ 8.7 (9 reviews)

"We had a full course of crab dishes, including over 200,000 yen worth of Taiza crab for two people, which was very delicious, but the staff were all foreign, and the explanations were in a foreign accent, which half the atmosphere was lost, which was a bit sad. We stayed in the best room on the third floor, but we did not feel any hospitality or warmth that you would expect from a ryokan. I understand the recent cost-cutting measures, but it felt like they had cut costs too much and had not thought about the comfort of the guests. It has been said since ancient times that a ryokan is determined by its female owner, but I think there are many ways to improve the soft aspects. On the morning of our check-out, we were the only group there, and it was only five or six steps to the front door, but the female owner, who was there, did not even say a final goodbye. We will never go again, but for the sake of future guests, I hope they will study more about how the ryokan business should be and welcome them with sincerity."

"This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! During my solo trip to Japan, I mainly opted for one-night, two-meal onsen hotels, falling in love with this kind of vacation where you soak in hot springs and enjoy meticulously prepared meals. Many onsen hotels offer single-person packages for small rooms, while larger rooms are usually for two people. This hotel had two top-floor suites offering single-person packages, which was fantastic. Plus, it wasn't a purely Japanese tatami room, which I didn't like; it was a newly renovated Japanese-Western style, much better than the rooms at more famous hotels like Kashoen and Shizukasen. The hotel is located near Yuhiura Kizu Onsen Station. A special note: there's no public transportation to this station; you must have the hotel pick you up. I told Ctrip customer service my arrival time the day before to arrange it, and all the hotels here offer pick-up services. You can also call upon arrival and wait about ten minutes for the hotel shuttle. Check-in was at 3 PM, and I was shown to my room around 2:30 PM. The lobby was average, but the room exceeded my expectations—beautiful beyond the ocean view, well-designed, elegantly furnished, and with excellent facilities. The most outstanding design was the suite's separate small dining area, preventing food smells from lingering in the room. The high table was very comfortable, much better than eating in the room at Kinosaki Nishimuraya. The hot spring was at just the right temperature; soaking in it while enjoying the sea view was incredibly pleasant. Dinner was a crab meal, very generous in portion and of excellent quality; we ate the crab meat as our main course. Breakfast was a bit simple, as no milk was provided. We checked out at 11 am, thoroughly enjoying the thoughtfully designed room without even leaving the hotel. The hotel had many Japanese guests, as well as some foreigners who came specifically for the hotel. There were foreign staff members, and the service was excellent, with warm and attentive service. This hot spring town is very quiet with a beach, but there's almost no tourism or commercial activity. Visitors mainly come to enjoy the sea views, hot springs, and cuisine at the various hotels. There's no dedicated hot spring shopping street, making it ideal for those driving. Alternatively, you can visit Amanohashidate in the morning, have lunch, and then stay at this hotel. The food and sea views are better than at hotels in Amanohashidate. Don't arrive too late; it gets dark by 5 pm and you can't see the sea anymore."

"There is no parking lot for guests, so you cannot park your car for outside bathing, and it is also narrow. Dinner is rushed, and you have to pay for a refill of rice. There is sand in the changing room even for the morning bath, so it is unpleasant to experience it from the morning."

"The location of the hotel is relatively rural. From the road, the building is very low-key, but entering the inside is infected by the warm and elegant atmosphere, especially when you come to the room, the floor-to-ceiling windows on both walls can see the beautiful scenery from the lake sunset, and the sunset time is reflected in the sunset. Dinner is a surprise, the crab meat package is launched in winter, but the Italian cooking method is used, the rich sauce makes the crab meat very delicious, the soup, spaghetti, pancakes are unforgettable, the grilled crab meat is then dipped in the crab paste sauce, rich in layers. Breakfast bread basket scrambled egg cheese, full weight, fresh and healthy. Every staff member. Very proactive and courteous, will nod to say hello until the guests leave. The introduction of the dishes is as hard as possible in English as possible, which made my stay very pleasant. In addition, the hotel also has a hot spring although not big, but because there are not many guests, I am a person to use, open-air massage hot spring can see the lake and the starry sky can enjoy a quiet atmosphere."

Centrale Hotel Kyotango ★★★
"It was a wonderful experience. The scenery along the hillside was beautiful, and there was ample parking in front of the hotel. The staff were attentive, friendly, and welcoming; they were happy to assist us even late at night. The rooms were decorated in a soft and elegant style, with both Western-style mattresses and tatami beds (Japanese style). The shower area had seating, which was convenient for the elderly. The hotel has a paid onsen (hot spring) with separate indoor and outdoor pools for men and women. The space is spacious with plenty of room to relax, so there was no awkwardness even with other guests present. The breakfast featured a variety of local dishes, all made with fresh, flavorful ingredients, served on exquisite bamboo trays."

"This place deserves 3 stars, not 1 star. Beautiful, cozy, and friendly staff. One of the staff insisted to let us take an umbrella with us as it was raining. He was so kind and friendly. We saw the sunset and we had a sumptuous breakfast and relaxing onsen. We did our laundry as well. Highly recommend. Will come back to stay. "

"The facade is unremarkable. As soon as you enter the check-in auditorium, you will be deeply attracted by the view of the large glass and leave a very good impression. You can also see a deer grazing in the Japanese garden outside the window. The lobby is generally very comfortable. The room I stayed in is a Japanese mixed Western style. It is comfortable, but the wardrobe is behind the bed. It is a bit difficult to get in and out of clothes. The view of the open-air hot spring is a little thinner. The dinner is a full crab feast, which is very plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend it, but it is a bit more expensive when viewing cherry blossoms in the peak season."

"2026/3/20-22 2 nights in Japanese Twin Room Public Bathroom Toilet Traditional Japanese-style homestays have parking lots. Check-in time is before 8 pm, and the price will be increased after the time. Pay attention to the time! The temperature difference on the beach is big, a bit cold 㕑 The room has an IH stove, complete pots and tableware, and self-cooking is very suitable! It is also very convenient to drive to the nearby big supermarket to buy! The owner and his wife are enthusiastic and patient to introduce various equipment, and the friendship hall feels warm and homey! The washing machine is not borrowed, and there is a self-service laundry next to the big supermarket! Jingdanhou City specialty pine leaf crab! Have the opportunity to travel must taste it!"

"When booking a one-night, two-dinner dinner, the meal items (or meal labels) were not specified. Fortunately, there were Chinese-speaking reception staff on site to assist! The renovated Japanese restaurant is small, beautiful, exquisite and comfortable. Seasonal fish, local specialties snail dishes and wagyu beef barbecue are all carefully prepared and perfectly presented by the chefs. There is only one cafe and landscaping platform nearby where you can watch the sunset!"
