LiVEMAX RESORT KYOTANGO SEA FRONT
"That's great!"
Ujo Soan (Adult Only)
"Our recent stay at Ujo Soan was, without exaggeration, the finest hospitality experience I have encountered in my 20 years of traveling across Japan. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was nothing short of superb. There are three highlights that made our stay truly unforgettable: 1. Exceptional Culinary Surprise: We were deeply touched by the hotel's generosity in providing a complimentary upgrade to the prestigious "Tsuiyama Blue Label Crab" set. The quality of the crab and the meticulous preparation were world-class—a true gastronomic journey. 2. Breathtaking Sunset Views: Spending time at the Lounge "AO" on the 8th floor of Bettei Fuka was a spiritual experience. Watching the sunset over the Kyotango coastline with a drink in hand is a memory we will cherish forever. 3. Outstanding Service (Sakura-san): A special mention must go to Sakura-san. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were exemplary. She anticipated our every need and represents the very best of Japanese Omotenashi. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mr. Yasuhiko Okita and the General Manager, Mr. Nakanishi, for maintaining such an incredible standard of excellence. If you are looking for a sanctuary that combines luxury, nature, and heartfelt service, Ujo Soan is the only choice. We cannot wait to return."
Centrale Hotel Kyotango
"neat and tidy room"
Ippen-an
"It was my first visit in a year. All I saw was the sea, the mountains, and silence. I enjoyed a meal of fresh local seafood (this time I enjoyed abalone, giant shrimp, mussels, smelts, and local sake). I could relax in the hot spring whenever I wanted. The staff were wonderful, and they read the mood of the guests and were considerate in their conversation and consideration. I was also impressed by the encounter with the wild deer and the gecko that seems to live at the inn. I was able to forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend a relaxing time. This is one of the inns I would like to visit when I'm tired of everyday life."
Hotel Ichiboukan
"Very friendly staff. Great crab dinner meals... a few steps away from the beach, which was beautiful...."
Ichiboukan Hanare Kai
"It's a cozy and wonderful place. The food was delicious, and the complimentary drinks and alcohol were great. The staff were friendly, and the facilities were excellent. I highly recommend it."
Resorpia Kumihama
"Although the facility was quite old, the cleaning and customer service were excellent. If you go in the summer, there aren't any major specialties, so if you're looking for seafood from the Sea of Japan, you'll be disappointed. This is probably the place to come to see the calm Kumihama."
Kasyouen Hotel
"If you visit by train, it is convenient to have a shuttle bus, and the beach is a 10-minute walk away, so you can enjoy the sunset. The facilities are clean, and there is an open-air hot spring, so you can relax and have a good time."
Shizuka Hanaogi
"The room is quite big, classic Japanese hotel, beautiful scenery, very close to the beach, ordered dinner and breakfast, both are very rich, dinner is a lot"

"Very spacious room and kind owner! Will want to come back again. I think winter here will be better with the crabs etc."
Ukawa Onsen Yoshino No Sato
"This place deserves 3 stars, not 1 star. Beautiful, cozy, and friendly staff. One of the staff insisted to let us take an umbrella with us as it was raining. He was so kind and friendly. We saw the sunset and we had a sumptuous breakfast and relaxing onsen. We did our laundry as well. Highly recommend. Will come back to stay. "
Livemax Resort Yuhigaura Kitu Onsen
"The staff at the inn were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious but old. I booked a plan that included breakfast and planned to go to a nearby izakaya in the evening, but most of the izakaya were closed, which was a nuisance."
Hotel Soka
"The location of the hotel is relatively rural. From the road, the building is very low-key, but entering the inside is infected by the warm and elegant atmosphere, especially when you come to the room, the floor-to-ceiling windows on both walls can see the beautiful scenery from the lake sunset, and the sunset time is reflected in the sunset. Dinner is a surprise, the crab meat package is launched in winter, but the Italian cooking method is used, the rich sauce makes the crab meat very delicious, the soup, spaghetti, pancakes are unforgettable, the grilled crab meat is then dipped in the crab paste sauce, rich in layers. Breakfast bread basket scrambled egg cheese, full weight, fresh and healthy. Every staff member. Very proactive and courteous, will nod to say hello until the guests leave. The introduction of the dishes is as hard as possible in English as possible, which made my stay very pleasant. In addition, the hotel also has a hot spring although not big, but because there are not many guests, I am a person to use, open-air massage hot spring can see the lake and the starry sky can enjoy a quiet atmosphere."
Seaside Satake
"The view from the room was beautiful, with the ocean stretching out before us, and the food, especially the fresh seafood, was fantastic. The hot spring was also wonderful, leaving our skin feeling smooth. It would have been even better if we could have seen the ocean from the open-air bath."
Ryori-Ryokan Hamanoya
"I go somewhere every year to eat crab. I always decide to go around January at short notice, so it's often closed. I thought it might be a little old-fashioned, so I went without high expectations. However, the room was a traditional Japanese-style room, but by chance, there was a vacancy and I was upgraded to an ocean view room, which was amazing! They also had a room available, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal of a huge amount of crab! They even brought the rice porridge I couldn't finish to my room, so I was able to enjoy it again when I got hungry while drinking in my room, which was great! You can also bring your own alcohol! It's an absolutely wonderful inn! It's the best! (You can also take home any crab you can't finish.) The bath isn't that big, but the bathtub is like a jacuzzi, which was really nice for someone with a sore back. There was also a small open-air bath, so I felt like I was at a hot spring! And best of all, it's open 24 hours a day, which is rare these days! I'm so grateful that I don't have to rush around during bath time!! The breakfast wasn't extravagant, and I'm not the type to eat a hearty meal in the morning, but it was enough. The salted fish served at breakfast was pickled in koji, which was really delicious. I asked the landlady and found out it was homemade, so I bought a few to take home, but my family loved them so much that they were gone in no time, and I wish I had bought more! It's just a regular inn, but the landlady and all the staff were so friendly and helpful, and it was such a great place to stay! I'll definitely return! Since I was there for the crab, they had heaters in the hallways to keep out the cold in the winter, but the shared bathroom was a bit cold because it's old, which is a bit of a downside, but it was worth it! The entire inn was spotlessly clean, and since it was the beginning of the year, we were given toso sake at the front desk. The food and service were far better than at expensive hotels!"
Kyoto Taizaonsen Sumiheiryokan
"The room was super spacious and spotless, with an amazing sunset view! The staff were all incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic—each meal came with a planned menu and a variety of beautifully prepared dishes. The onsen was another highlight, with different styles and layouts to enjoy. Totally worth every penny—I can’t wait to go back!"
Yusai Resort Hibiki
"The hotel rooms are very comfortable and well designed, especially the hot springs and the balcony in the room have a great view of the sea. The quality of the food for dinner and breakfast is very good, but the dining space is a bit small, and the service of the service staff is excellent."
Shorenkan Yoshinoya
"There's a large bathing area, and the hot springs are incredibly relaxing. It faces the ocean, and the dinner and breakfast are delicious. I paid extra to try the crab, a seasonal special that you absolutely must try! It's a shame I couldn't see the crab auction!"
Mansukero
"The waiters are superb and the food is of excellent quality."
