D & Sons Apartments ★★★★

📍 Stari grad 490, Kotor

"The hotel towels were stained and unclean, and had a strange smell. The landlord was unfriendly when checking out the next day. Hey Siri, the environment was very nice, and I stayed in the old town. Overall, it was still pretty good."

Historic Boutique Hotel Cattaro

Historic Boutique Hotel Cattaro ★★★★

📍 432 Square of the Arms, Kotor

"The staff was so kind. Very nice atomsphere. I will be able to stay again in the future!"

Hotel Monte Cristo

Hotel Monte Cristo ★★★★

📍 Old Town 423, Kotor

"It’s within the Old Town itself so lugging the luggage was a little difficult. But the room made up for that. It has really quaint-looking and authentic old town kind of furnishing. Breakfast was really simple given that it’s winter and there’s not many customers."

Athos Boutique Hotel

Athos Boutique Hotel ★★

📍 CQGC+3M8, Ulica 2 (sjever-jug) , Kotor, 0, Kotor

"The location is really great. However, many basic items were missing (such as towels, napkins, glasses, etc.). The hotel needs maintenance — this situation puts both the staff and the guests in a difficult position. The hotel management should take this into consideration, as there are several shortcomings. Many thanks to the staff for their efforts."

Hotel Marija

Hotel Marija ★★★

📍 CQGC+55M, Ulica 1 (istok-zapad), Kotor

"Nice central location, clean and all amenities. Luggage storage. Great breakfast. Just note location can be noisy due to single glazing."

Boutique Hotel Hippocampus
8.7 (89 reviews)

Boutique Hotel Hippocampus ★★★★

📍 Kotor 489, Kotor

"Located in Old Town where all the action is. There was a public car park nearby for our rental. We were so excited they had a small lift so we didn’t need to carry our luggage. The breakfast was amazing. The only downside (or not) is that the club nearby will be playing music until around 1:30am."

Huma Kotor Bay Hotel and Villas

Huma Kotor Bay Hotel and Villas ★★★★★

📍 Dobrota 175, Dobrota

"The hotel location is great in Dobrota, very easy access to a few of the restaurants on the bay front and around a 40 minute walk into Kotor Old town, or a 5/10 minute taxi. The hotel was lovely with a great pool area and access to a private beach bar. The breakfast buffet was fantastic - 10/10. My only gripe was the service at the beach bar, it was very hit and miss depending on who served you. One day we waited over 30 minutes for two bottled beers and a bottle of water. They have tables with a 'call for service' button, but none of the staff seem to take any notice of it and a few of the staff were very reluctant to take an order from you if you asked to order whilst they were walking past (not all of them - some were great!). They seemed to prefer the day guests vs. those who were staying at the hotel."

Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort
9.3 (114 reviews)

Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort ★★★★★

📍 bb, Kotor, Donji Stoliv

"Good pool, breakfast, and nice views all around. Friendly staff. What I didn't like was that I booked an upgraded room with a mountain view but got a room that looked directly into the neighboring room. Also, Trip.com stated a €15 fee upon check-in, but we were actually charged €47 for three nights. It's a small amount, but still unpleasant. Additionally, during cleaning, they somehow don't clean the floor and move personal belongings around unnecessarily."

Kotor Nest

Kotor Nest ★★★

📍 Stari grad 444, Kotor

"A good hotel in the center of the old town. There was some confusion during check-in, but everything was resolved later. According to the receptionist, they only have one room, room 19, with twin beds in the entire hotel. However, the beds are large and we had no problems, so keep this in mind when booking. The hotel has a good kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils."

"Large apartment with two bedrooms and a large living room with kitchen. Located in the historic center, nestled among the walls and history of beautiful Kotor. Parking is included, just a few steps from the property (outside the walls). The apartment is charming, clean, and has a very comfortable bed. A kettle and tea and coffee making facilities are also provided."

"Shower had mold. Room not ready when we got there. Light in bathroom was out and we couldn’t take a shower until three hours after we got there. Missing towel rods, fixture for shower head. Heard scurrying sounds above the ceiling."

Studios Belvi Hotels in Kotor

"The woman in the fifth picture entered the hotel directly opposite the ancient city entrance, in the old house on the right, as pictured in the shop owner's poster. The owner, an Orthodox Christian who resembled a secret agent, anticipated my arrival time and waited for me in the tavern downstairs for tea. He patted my shoulder in the crowd, like a secret agent! He didn't smile much, but he slowly and proactively explained the sightseeing route. There were candies. When I left, he waited outside and gave me a fridge magnet! The room was too small, especially the bathroom. The Blue Line bus to Perast is about 200 meters ahead of where the woman in the fifth picture pointed to her left, on the yellow roadside, but there's no bus stop sign. For a Blue Grotto swim and a regular boat trip to the two islands, a speedboat costs 30 euros, a large boat 20, and no more. The boat shop is across the street from the Idea supermarket behind the woman in the fifth picture. Board the boat right outside the hostel."

"It gets dark early in Montenegro, and it was raining heavily when we got off the bus. The landlord came out to help us park the car and carried two 26-inch suitcases to the room for us. The heating in the room was already turned on, and the host was very helpful in giving a lot of travel tips and a welcome drink. The room has a balcony, and you can see the Bay of Kotor when you open the window. When the sun is shining, it is very pleasant to sit on the balcony and drink coffee and chat with friends while admiring the scenery. During our two-night stay, MSC's cruise ship entered the bay. It's not far from the ancient city, about 10 minutes' walk. There are shopping malls and large supermarkets on the way to the ancient city, which is very convenient. The room is not very big, but it is equipped with a kitchen and tableware. It is very convenient if you want to make a simple meal by yourself."

"Very average. The landlord has a bad attitude. There are no quilts. It is very inconvenient to store luggage. It is not safe to just throw it into the corridor! There was only one bath towel and the landlord actually said it was a quilt! !"

Hotel Monte Cristo ★★★★
"The rooms are nice and located in the old town. The hotel has free parking outside the north gate. If you have large luggage, it's best to inform the hotel in advance so they can arrange for a golf cart to transport it. Otherwise, although it's only a few hundred meters from the north gate, the cobblestone path is uneven, making it inconvenient to drag luggage. This hotel only has nine rooms, but they are all beautifully decorated and furnished! Breakfast is just downstairs, around the corner, inside a door. The hotel is very close to the old town, making it very convenient! Additionally, you can book a fjord cruise through the hotel for 40 euros per person for three hours, and someone will pick you up and take you to the pier."

Athos Boutique Hotel ★★
"The convenient location in the heart of the old town is its biggest plus, and probably its only one. The hotel is very old, but that's understandable. It's extremely dirty. The bathroom is separate from the room (with a transparent partition instead of a wall!), and there's low water pressure and intermittent lack of hot water. Right under the windows is a club, with music and happy revelers from 10 PM to 3 AM. The sloped ceilings are very low, and there's a funny patched-up hole in the ceiling where someone clearly put their head through the drywall. The stairs are very steep; we were on the 4th floor – if you have a couple of glasses of wine in the evening, you'll only be able to crawl up to bed. The view from the window is nice though! The staff were quite relaxed. They're supposed to collect the tourist tax from guests to avoid problems and fines upon departure, but they sent us to pay it ourselves somewhere else. We arrived at the hotel around 12 PM, and they told us the responsible staff member who could check us in wasn't there and would be back by 2 PM. In the end, no one showed up at 2 PM, and the same staff member who initially turned us away ended up checking us in. So we just waited with our luggage for several hours for no reason. We were worried about the safety of our belongings in the room, so we carried all our valuables with us, even to the beach. We didn't have any issues, no one came into the room, and we didn't notice anything being touched."

Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort ★★★★★
"Extremely loud music by the pool. There's simply nowhere to escape – it's like being in a nightclub. Unbearable, not a single corner without constant thumping. Terrible coffee at breakfast. I can't believe such artificial stuff exists. No fish at breakfast either, nor sparkling wine. Sparkling wine is served upon check-in – but it's semi-sweet 🙈. Empty mini-bar. The curtains are see-through, no full blackout. On the plus side – a small but cozy, quiet (!) beach. Nothing around except local shops. Which is actually a plus."
