"My wife and I were traveling to Sugarloaf during a heavy rainstorm yesterday. Power lines were down and road closures were everywhere by the time we got to New Vineyard. As it was getting dark we’re were unable to find a way to the mountain and by now there was also no way to turn back to Farmington. We stopped at the Inn, which was without power and not planning on guests, and met Sophie. She welcomed us with our dog to spend the night, along with several other travelers that were in the same boat ( could have used one ). Sophie made sure everyone had bedding, candles and anything else needed. Such a nice gesture on what was I think supposed to be a night off. Thank you so much Sophie and The Inn Winters Hill.
