"I recently arrived at the Farovan Hotel in Khiva and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite its reputation as the most expensive hotel in the city, I found the customer service at the reception to be lacking. Pricing was inconsistent throughout the communication re. my stay, and whenever I tried to address it, no one took responsibility. This was quite frustrating, especially since I had expected a high standard of service. The room itself was also underwhelming. It felt cramped and crowded, which was surprising given the hotel's price point. For anyone considering a stay here, I highly recommend getting the price in writing and confirming it multiple times before arrival to avoid any misunderstandings. Ultimately, we decided to leave and moved to the Bankir Hotel instead, which offered a much more pleasant experience at half the cost. I’m disappointed to write this review, but I believe it’s important to provide honest feedback. If management is interested, they are welcome to contact me for additional details."

"The hotel is located inside the ancient city, near the West Gate. Taxis can drive directly to the hotel entrance, which is very convenient. And because it's in the central part of the ancient city, it's easy to walk around for food and drinks. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing in the rooms could be a bit better; everything else was great."

"I went with a friend to visit Khiva and we were very happy to have found accomodation at Ali's Boutique Hotel. He arranged a taxi to have us picked up from the Airport and the moment we entered the hotel we felt most welcome! The room was clean and tidy. We had a sumptious breakfast and the staff were kind and couteous. Our sincere thanks to Ali and his staff."

"The hotel is very stylishly decorated, and the cleanliness and breakfast are excellent. The owner seems to be Malaysian, and it's a joint venture with a local Uzbek owner. Located outside the Old City, it's a bit of a walk, but it's definitely the highest point around the Old City besides the watchtowers. The sunrise and sunset views from the rooftop are perfect, especially the sunrise, where you can see the sun rise over the Old City. The breakfast is delicious, especially the hand-pulled noodles and several stewed or braised dishes, all of which are very tasty."

"Since it is a newly built hotel, it is really clean. Breakfast is served individually, making you feel pampered. Although it is not inside Ichan Kala, it is located only 5 minutes from the main West Gate. There is also a supermarket right in front. The host is friendly as well. Best value for money!"

"Every hotel in Uzbekistan has its own unique charm. A room might be missing chairs, for example, or have a kettle but no cups or spoons, or all the electrical outlets might be concentrated on one wall, or who knows what else... The Euroasia Hotel is true to tradition; in one of our two rooms, the bedside lamps didn't work, and neither room had a refrigerator. Heaven knows, I can handle broken lamps, no hot water at night, and furniture that's seen better days, but a refrigerator... What do you want most after returning from the hot, dusty streets of old Khiva? A shower and a frosty bottle from the refrigerator. But no. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location in the old city; the rest is optional. Good luck to everyone exploring the beauty and wonders of the East!"

"In this pretty hotel, unfortunately the negatives outweighed the positives. The bathroom had no hot water, no grab bars in the bathtub, no washcloths and not enough shelf space. The bedroom could use a comfortable chair, and there was no omelet station in the dining room. There were several positives. The bedroom and pillows were comfortable, the AC worked well and there were many outlets. But the best thing about the hotel was pool and the beautiful gardens which were a joy to walk through on the way to the dining room."

"Firstly - Twins Hotel in Khiva, is in Uzbekistan, not in Spain as Trip Advisor seems to think? Bit of a difference. Great hotel, easy check-in, English spoken at reception. Spotlessly clean white rooms, good bathroom, very efficient aircon, which will be essential in summer. Good breakfast with hot and cold options. Location is perfect for walking to the old city sites, especially at night when it is all beautifully lit up."
