"Excellent location! Right next to a museum and a miniature village, plus a 100-year-old railway. There's a theater and a little shop nearby where we'd buy fish and chips almost every day, and a Tesco Express too. We really enjoyed the evening entertainment with singers. The staff were friendly and calm, and the large lobby and bar downstairs were a bonus. I fell in love with this hotel from the photos, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the staff!"

"Well I’ve had an amazing stay and Alison has been an excellent host. From the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out it felt like a home from home. I stayed here whilst doing my motorcycle test nearby rather than drive 2 hours each way daily. Excellent value, clean and comfortable room and lovely peace and quiet to relax in the evenings. The daily full English breakfast was superb and Alison ensured I was well fed for my daily motorcycle lessons. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Staff were friendly & a ground floor room with a bathtub was no problem. The free standing fan supplied didn't work & finally got a working one on the 3rd attempt. I booked the hotel as it said there was parking - no parking but still had parking sign up 🤔 I'm glad we took our own breakfast as the price for it is rather expensive. Other than that it was fine for a budget stay."

"We have stayed there before and we are pleased with the room (a couple and a young child in the double room with sofabed) size is decent, not huge but enough room for us. Clean, friendly staff and £15 a day for parking (EV charging at their car park). There is also an outdoor public carpark at the end of the road for about £10 for 24 hours if the hotel carpark is full (we did have to park there, a few mins walk)"
