The cleanliness of the guesthouses I stayed at in Laoshan, Qingdao, was truly appalling. The decor was also of very good quality; the space was large and comfortable, and the paint on the walls was very smooth. The pillows were very comfortable, from Atour. The bedside table being placed in the middle was very thoughtful; many hotels place the bedside table on both sides, making it difficult for the person sleeping in the middle to charge their phone. The front desk also provided a complimentary fruit platter and snacks. The room originally included two breakfasts, but seeing that there were three of us, they proactively gave us another one, as there weren't many breakfast options around. The breakfast was plentiful, including a bowl of hot noodles with bamboo shoots and pork topping, and the seasonal cantaloupe was very sweet. In short, choosing this guesthouse in the small town of Jixi is a great choice."
