"The room is in a good location,my main issue was entering a bare room,there is basically just a bed and a TV near the ceiling. If they state this on the website then it wouldn't be such a shock when you arrive.I do not understand why there is not at least a table to put personal belongings on .Everything was just dumped on the floor for 2 days it was pretty weird .The bathroom had nothing but a toilet, shower and tiny fingertip sink,toiletries had to be left in the bedroom as no shelf or anything to put them on ."

The hotel is in a convenient location, within easy walking distance of the town centre and waterfront, making it an ideal base for exploring Ipswich. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and made the check-in and check-out process quick and easy. What stood out most was the reasonable price. Considering the quality of the accommodation, the service, and the central location, I thought it represented very good value. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel in Ipswich."

We were given free parking as compensation, but more surprises awaited our arrival. Here we were told that the kitchen had only limited choice rendering our prebooked meal deal pretty redundant. The night itself passed peacefully - as is generally the case in Premier Inn."

"Was going to stay at the Premier Inn a short distance away from this place but strangely the price was crazy - this place was about £100 cheaper. Cost us £110 BnB for one night. If you're unfamiliar with driving round Ipswich, I strongly suggest using a sat nav as it's just a mess and if you get in the wrong lane it's game over. :-) This hotel has chargeable parking but very reasonably priced for 24 hours and is just a short walk to the harbour with it's associated bars etc. A bit of work going on in the area so it should improve soon. The room itself was your basic Travelodge type, clean and pretty much all you need for a night. Had breakfast as well, a buffet style thing - all piping hot and very well kept. Travelodge breakfasts are comparable to Premier Inn ones and in some cases are better... For the price I would stay there again."

"This is our second visit here. It’s absolutely amazing. So restful. James the Chef cooks the most impressive food. Gwenny in Reception couldn’t be more helpful. The staff are really good at their jobs and everyone seems to enjoy working there. The lodge was spotless. Aaron and his team keep the grounds immaculate. We only had one problem on the last night and felt it wasn’t dealt with by the evening reception as it could have been. This has made us reconsider our visit back in September. Overhaul if you visit here you won’t be disappointed."

"All went well with check in but not so good from there on. We walked into the room and immediately got water dripping down our necks. The air conditioning was leaking and had been for some time as the room had a smell to it. We then noticed a dirty coffee cup on the table. Went down to reception and was given another room, this room was only set up for one person, we still had the key for the first room so we went and sorted what we needed from there. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and the food was quite nice. Overcharged in the drinks but I hadn’t realised until my husband said what he had paid the next day, drinks should have been two for £8 but we paid more."

"Have stayed at this Travelodge 4 times in the past year while visiting family. The restaurant serves a great buffet breakfast. There's road noise affecting the rooms at the front of the hotel. Rooms at the back are much quieter but you only get a view of the car park. Car park is now £6.50/day and may get full in the evenings."

"Quite a wacky, quirky hotel- which we love! The main hotel is unique and fab, but the rooms are tired and outdated and could be cleaned to a higher standard. The tap water is not drinkable, so more drinking water also needs to be provided and accessible in double and twin rooms- one bottle for two people is not enough. When phoning reception to request two bottles of water, we were still only given one and the empty bottle we had was also weirdly and awkwardly requested and collected at our door first, before we were allowed more water, which was then bought separately and left outside the room? Just a little odd when they have to provide drinking water. A great location hotel though and we actually love the extravagant, crazy style of the main hotel and have been back 3 times and would stay again when in the area for work. You have to see it to believe it!"
