All types of vehicles can drive the roads directly to the cabin. Low-level cars to large trucks, with the exception of winter months an AWD and 4WD vehicle is recommended, and required, if we have snow pack on the lane and driveway. Jeeps and all off-road vehicles are permitted on the cabin lane and surrounding roads and trails. During the winter months, we can get quite a bit of snow. Although the cabin driveway is plowed regularly, and all highways and roads to the cabin are maintained year round, including the cabin lane, an AWD or 4WD vehicle is recommended in winter months. The Cabin driveway and upper parking are gravel base surfaces and the lane is graded dirt and will require more than a rear wheel drive vehicle if covered or packed with snow. Parking is free and plentiful at the cabin. Upper level parking will fit 4-5 vehicles and the lower driveway parking will also fit 4-5 vehicles. Depending upon the size and length of vehicles.Parking in front of the cabin on the lane is prohibited during winter months to allow snow plows to maintain the lane. If you do not own an AWD or 4WD drive vehicle, you will want to rent one in winters months when there has been recent snow storms and there is snow pack on the cabin lane and driveway.If there is an expected snow storm the days of your scheduled travel, an AWD or 4WD vehicle is also recommended.
