Directly off the deck is a large, enclosed yard area - perfect for the dog.TV & Internet - We have Xfinity internet and a 55-inch Smart TV - Live and local television is provided through our YouTube TV account. Guests can use their personal apps to view shows on Netflix or Amazon etc.Coffee! - Questions about what type of coffee maker are common, as well as what is and isn't provided. We have a Keurig - the machine uses the Keurig coffee pods and also brews ground coffee. We provide a starter supply of ground coffee and filters, but guests would need to provide their own coffee pods. We also supply a starter supply of sugar packets and a few tea bags. There is also a hot water kettle for boiling water. NOW to enjoy your morning coffee on the oceanside deck or on the covered front porch - decisions, decisions!Dog Friendly - We are dog friendly and allow up to two dogs total. If bringing dog(s) we do ask that guests first message us and include information such as breed, age and approximate weight of dog(s). There is a large, enclosed area in the backyard. This area can be accessed by either of two sets of stairs from the oceanside deck - very convenient to let the dog in and out. There is a hose if the dog's paws need rinsed.Guest limit - The Pelican House caters to singles and small groups seeking a quiet and relaxing visit to the coast. Our maximum occupancy is 4 guests - with advance discussion, approval and a small additional fee, we may allow up to 5 guests. The couch is a sleeper sofa bed - this is not made up unless the need is communicated ahead of time. If guests are traveling in an RV, camper or with a boat, we do require advance notice - our rental permit does not allow guests to stay overnight in the RV or camper.NOTE - the home does not have a firepit and outdoor fires are not allowed - fires are often allowed on the beach. Guests should contact the state parks office for regulations on beach fires. Again, no outdoor fires at the home. It is second tier ocean front which means there is a home between it and the ocean as shown in the photos. The main living space is on the second floor which requires a longer than average flight of stairs to climb but the views up top are worth it. The clean and open concept layout along with tall, vaulted ceilings, encourages making memories and togetherness. The modern home accommodates 6 people perfectly and could accommodate more but may feel a bit full. Lots of natural light with ocean views from the main living spaces and primary bedroom. There is a back deck to enjoy the morning sun which has territorial (non-ocean) views and where you'll find a BBQ for evening grilling and beverages.In the primary suite, fall asleep or snuggle your loved one while star-gazing a glittering dark, night sky with a background of crashing waves and wake up rested to sparkling ocean waters.The second bedroom contains three beds: full-size bunkbeds (both top and bottom are full/doubles) and a twin sized trundle.The kitchen is fully appointed with all the necessities and more. If you like to cook, this kitchen and its brand-new appliances are top notch, especially with a glass of wine at sunset, which fills the room in a warm glow. The open concept encourages gathering to eat, share, laugh, and make memories that will last a lifetime.If you are booking with children, please note there are safety risks associated with this home: no outlet plug covers, exposed blind strings, cleaning supplies are kept in lower, unlocked cabinets, and several windows on the second story do not have screens.
