Hotels with WiFi in Leyte

Clean room with complete basic amenities. Since it's a condominium type, you share the living area and the kitchen if you only book a single or twin room but you have your own privacy. It has a good speed WiFi. The only problem is too many mosquitoes in my room and they're hiding in the drawer, on TV and in the shower. It's a lil bit far from downtown too but it's fine with me since there's a Metro shopping mall near the hotel and some fast food.

The location and service were absolutely fantastic, no complaints there. However, I was a bit confused that there was no refrigerator in the room. If you're staying here, be aware that any cold drinks you bring will warm up quickly.

The food amenities need significant improvement. As this is a resort, dining is an essential part of every guest's experience. Offering a buffet for both breakfast and dinner would greatly enhance guest satisfaction, along with providing a wider variety of food options. I would also like to commend the room service staff. They are incredibly hardworking, professional, and provide excellent service. However, it is disheartening to see how overworked they appear, especially having to deliver meals to every room throughout the day. They deserve greater recognition, respect, and fair compensation for the physically demanding work they do. Their daily wage does not seem to reflect the effort and dedication they put into serving guests.

The interior of the building and the lounge are beautiful, but the Christian expressions in the form of sayings and photos are very dominant... even in the rooms, there's plenty of religious decor on the walls and a thick Bible. The room I had needs a renovation; the floor, toilet door, and beds show significant damage. How does a guest even manage to cause that much damage? In the bathroom, which has a floor about 40cm higher, there's no towel hook. I checked several other rooms that were open after check-out, and their bathrooms also had this raised floor – not very convenient for elderly guests with mobility issues. The two-person Deluxe room is very small, 16m², and overpriced for its size, though it might be acceptable for one person. During my three-day stay, no cleaning was done, which is definitely an area for improvement. Daily checks should certainly not be missing for this price. Breakfast is served in the lounge, which is lovely and a pleasant place to sit at a table during the day. The breakfast is a small buffet with limited choice but sufficient. The location is okay, a 10-minute walk to the harbor and market, with many shops nearby. Beyond that, Tacloban itself isn't particularly attractive, with its rectangular street layout. The staff are friendly but not very engaging in casual conversation; they just do their job. Ellen and Irene at the reception always have a friendly smile. Transportation to and from the airport and bus terminal is fine... just take a Grab or negotiate with taxis.

I booked for 2 nights. Place was beautiful, staff are polite and professional. Booked the hotel because it says it’s got Wi-fi. Upon arriving there’s WiFi in the room but NO signal, and there’s no data signal too. The only wifi connection is at the restaurant which is also very weak. I requested to cancel and refund the 2nd night but the property rejected the request. I would’ve been fine if it’s not listed on the amenities. If there’s no wifi, update the listing so it doesn’t disrupt our travel arrangements and lose money. Since they rejected my request, I had to book another hotel while still paying for this one.

This is the second time staying here. I love the bed , linens and pillows. The bathroom with the bathroom collection of large pump bottles of shampoo, body wash and soap are great. The only thing missing was a hand bidet spray and bathroom mirror. This time we had 302D facing the parking which I liked because I could keep my eye on our motorcycle. There is no problem with thieves or anything but it’s nice to look out . Large spacious room.

I had a really pleasant stay at Asia Star Hotel. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable — perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long day. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. I also appreciated that breakfast was included; there was a nice variety of options, and everything tasted fresh. Definitely a great value for the price. I’d happily stay here again!

Nice clean room. Quite large. Only downfall was the lift was under maintenance, but that was the only inconvenience. Oh, and a 4pm check in. That was rough as I had a baby and was forced to sit in the mall for 4 hours . Don't understand that check in time. Otherwise I actually liked the room and would use the hotel again if the need arises.

The place is good and nice, halatang bagong hotel siya. i’m kinda not satisfied sa cr. Madulas yung tiles, delikado po. Walang divider sa bandang shower area to toilet bowl&sink kaya the whole cr will get wet pag naligo ka. Yung knob ng faucet natatanggal siya which is not our fault, yung lagayan ng stuff sa ibabaw ng sink yung glass is eventually bumababa, nakaktakot na baka matapat samin that time na malaglag which is not our fault also. Yung cover ng switch light baliktad, minadali gawin? Yung cabinet inside the room is sira din, which is not our fault.  • Toothbrush & tooth paste not included • Towel is included • Mabait ang staff sa front desk especially kuya guard.   • Shampoo, bodywash etc magkahalo sa isang lalagyan. • You can also order food from them merong menu sa loob ng room. • water dispenser is located outside the room sa may parang lobby sa 2nd floor, hot and cold water is available. • may netflix • malapit sa airport Overall i would rate it 4/5, our stay there was ok. Im just quite dissappointed sa cr. Btw, we were in Room 10 that time.

Not sure if other hotels have or do not have hot water for shower. GV Hotel does not, please note. Also the shower is spacious but no seperate cubicle. The whole floor gets wet as you shower, may be a common feature in the tropical cities. Nevertheless, the proximity to SM Mall is the best feature, you can get everything in the Hypermarket and most of the popular food outlets under one roof, just a 2 minute walk opposite the same street. If you want to try the BBQ style, please visit first floor with very reasonable price. see photo here showing the menu.
