It has a sandy & rocky beach and the snorkeling in front of the villas is fantastic. It's about a 35 minute drive from the airport and George Town but only minutes to a few restaurants (Over the Edge, Rum Point and Kaibo), beach bars, watersport shops (Red Sail Sports at Rum Point), activities (Crystal Caves) and a small grocery store (Chisholm’s). The living and relaxing here is easy. Head to the private beach and snorkel the colourful reef just offshore or jump in the double kayak and explore the picturesque shoreline. Alternatively, you can walk right out your door to the freshwater pool, located in the center of the complex, and relax in peace with the coconut trees for shade! Since Mahogany Point is a small-scale resort on Grand Cayman’s quiet North Coast, the beach and pool are often pleasantly deserted. Take the private stairs down the back of the condo off of the lanai and stroll down to the beach or around to the large saltwater pool. The pool also has a shallow pool perfect for small children.The snorkeling right off the condo and all along the northshore in Cayman Kai is the best on Grand Cayman. The reefs start in about 5 feet of water and extend out to about 25 feet and are loaded with reef fish, plus you'll see large mature conch, varying sizes of lobsters and an occasional octopus. The water in front of the condo is natural landscape. The beach itself is all white sand, but can be rocky as you enter the water. swim shoes are recommended. great snorkeling can be found right off our beach for the more experienced swimmers, Rum Point beach, a short drive down the road, has calmer shallow water for all ages.
