"We stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient. We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland). Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable. We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel. One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night."

"If there are a lot of luggage, it is not recommended to choose a tent because a little distance must be carried. The public kitchen is fully equipped and clean, and the shower room is a little crowded."

"It’s a nice boutique hotel and with welcoming staffs. The food is good esp the curry, excellent. The room size is perfect but the toilet is a bit too small. But well, it’s obvious nth we can do with that."

"Environment: It satisfies all the fantasies of Nordic cabins! But it is more recommended to come with many friends! ! Because it is very suitable for dinner parties! But please note that check-in is self-service, so pay attention to your email in advance. The location is easy to find and the bed is very comfortable❤️ I hope that next time the weather is good and I can see the aurora directly!"

"💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! "We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!"

"It was past 8 when I arrived at the hotel that night, the restaurant was closed, and the waiter took out a simple map and patiently explained the location of the nearby restaurant. Breakfast is buffet style, richer than expected and very satisfying. The hotel layout is very chic, many hiccups. There is free parking space, convenient location, only 5 minutes away from the lava exhibition hall Lava Centre ."

"Environment: Excellent, with views of the snow-capped mountains from the window. Cleanliness: Clean, soft towels, disposable slippers and bathrobes provided. Service: The staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities: Breakfast was quite substantial, although it was still white food."

"The view is excellent, at the foot of a mountain, it should be a cabin to see the aurora, but unfortunately we did not see the aurora in summer. The location is not far from Scoga Falls, Seriyaran Falls and Vic Black Beach, these three attractions can choose from here. The house facilities are very new, the heating is turned on in advance, the Icelanders really don't know how to advertise, and the good house is like a rough house. The housekeeper's English is not good, but the communication is still clear. Other comments are helpful, you can call the password until they answer the phone, if you can't, you can also take a chance on the spot, and you will see the women who clean up the house working nearby."

"Very close to the Seri Yalan Waterfall, about ten minutes drive. We stayed here on the return trip. The room was a bit cold at night. The flour outside at sunrise in the morning was very good. Breakfast was basic."
