Hotels with WiFi in Batu Ampar

"The location of the hotel was great, just a short 5 mins walk from the Habourbay Terminal. However, was rather disappointed by the service and facilities. (1) Room had a weird stale, musty smell when we first checked in to our room, but the smell eventually went away after 2-3h with aircon circulation. It was bearable but we could really use an air freshener. (2) We were not informed that the gym/pool had opening or closing times. There were also no signs indicating as such. When we tried to visit the gym at around 10pm, everything was already closed. (3) On the amenities, we had to make repeated checks receptionist that we can get a shaving razor and instant coffee. At first, the housekeeping didn't understand what we wanted. The first receptionist at the front desk simply just tried to waive us away by saying they are not available. It was only after we approached a second receptionist did they finally understood and brought it out for us. The shower gel also ran out after the first night and housekeeping did not refill it despite cleaning the room in the day. (4) The hotel spa, despite saying they were open for 24h and that a reservation was required, repeatedly told us to go to their counter at the 4th floor to check on availability. We went there and checked at least 6 times during our 3D2N stay and each time, we were told that there was no immediate availability but to come back at a later time instead. They also turned us away when we tried to make an advance booking. They could have saved time for everyone by just saying there was no availability and reservations were unavailable instead of asking us to come back every now and then. Overall, the service level was very disappointing for a 4-star hotel. There are better and cheaper hotel options around the Harbourbay area."

"Location was fantastic, just right beside the pier. Rooms are not really clean and nice. But in this price include breakfast is good enough compared to to others."

"The room is of good size with 2 clean twin beds. There are many areas to improve, for example, the electrical socket is not working well, connections are mostly loose and not able to charge my mobile phone and laptop consistently. The TV has no working channels, not even local TV channels. Also the room WiFi connection is weak, many times connected but without internet. Overall it is good and convenient location for 1 night stay. Not recommended for multiple day stay."

"Everything was great – the room facilities were excellent and perfect. The service attitude was also very good. The hotel offers massages, but I didn't book one. Breakfast was delicious. It's also very close to the pier, which is a big plus."

"SERVICE WAS SUPERB - booked this short trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the team really went ABOVE AND BEYOND. We arrived slightly earlier than check in time and were prepared to wait but right from the getgo, Ayu who checked us in - was all smiles and even stepped out from behind her counter (she did not have to) to wish us a Happy Anniversary and to let us know that the hotel prepared a small surprise for us. We went to the room and were greeted with the LOVELIEST note and towel art, and mirror art which we could not even bear to wipe away by the lovely Amel. All the staff there were really very smiley right from the entrance all the way to housekeeping. Food in the hotel was great - room service as well as breakfast buffet. Breakfast was a mix of local food, indomie (!!!), eggs station and assortment of western and pastries too! My favourite was the fresh juices, tea and eggs station! It was a nice spread! Amel received us at breakfast on Day 2 and 3 and even prepared a special meal for us - it was really yummy and THOUGHTFUL and the icing on top was when the entire team came out to sing us a song (with a guitar and the full works :')) and the cake on Day 3! We are sold to come back to only 4 Points Sheraton Batam for life every time we visit because they really made us feel so so welcomed and special."

"The hotel seems dated, but has a vintage feel to it with a grandfather clock in the lobby. Location is quite good, near many malls and amenities. Shampoo and shower gel not the best, no lotion or shower robe provided. Housekeeping responses quite fast. Breakfast was okay, decent variety, not much processed proteins, have good choice of fruits. Swimming pool water looks green and cloudy, gym has good number of equipment, but also dated, which can appeal to some especially with having iron plates. Gym is indoors but not air conditioned."

"The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness. The toilet and bathtub did not appear to be properly cleaned and had an unpleasant smell. I also noticed some stains on the walls and bed sheets. I hope the management can improve the hygiene standards, as it greatly affects the overall guest experience."

"Pacific Palace Hotel is well-located, offering a central base with easy access to popular spots like Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall, Grand Batam Mall, and the Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal. There are plenty of restaurants and food options nearby. A Morning Bakery is just a 5-minute walk away, perfect for an authentic local breakfast experience. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The unique cruise ship theme adds charm and provides several great Instagram-worthy photo spots. The hotel also features a pleasant swimming pool, and massage services are available at rates more affordable than many external spas. Staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help."

"I have been to this place many times since 2020, if I’m not mistaken. It's an amazing location, akin to visiting old friends in an unfamiliar setting, with excellent service from the hospitality staff. They understand your needs and largely provide what you desire. I felt as though I was being pampered by a butler in a premium hotel. Marriott hotels offer a 24-hour gym, sauna/steam room, and room service. The rooms are beautifully designed, featuring comfortable beds and luxury pillows that are specially designed for relaxation. The leisure activities within the hotel area are excellent, and the Harbour Bay ferry exit is just a 10-minute walk to the right, where you can discover some very affordable local food restaurants, such as Bay City Seafood. We particularly enjoyed the steamed black grouper and steamed silver pomfret. Just let the waitress know if you prefer less sauce to reduce the saltiness. For personal care, there is a salon near the Swiss-Bel Hotel. I paid less than S$20, including tips, for an hour of foot reflexology or a body massage. For breakfast, there is a variety of cooked foods, ice cream, yogurt, desserts, breads, cakes, salads, and more. We enjoyed the carrot and orange juice, and at the hotel, you can order any juice or drink you prefer. Next time I visit, I plan to order smoothies for my breakfast. Thank goodness I will definitely be returning to the Batam Marriott Harbour Bay to take a break from my routine and indulge myself!"

"This is a pleasant hotel located near Harbour Bay, although it is not within comfortable walking distance. The food and service were both very good. A special mention goes to the chef preparing the fried noodles—they were outstanding, and I would happily return just to enjoy that dish again. The guest room was comfortable, but the furniture showed noticeable signs of wear and would benefit from refurbishment or replacement. The swimming pool access felt a little unusual, as the entrance is located next to the restaurant, while the changing rooms are quite a distance away, making it less convenient for guests. The gym is spacious, which is a great feature. However, many of the machines were out of order, so maintaining or replacing the equipment would significantly improve the fitness facilities."
