The loch & River which are often busy with maritime traffic including submarines, merchant ships and cruise liners.The village Post Office for almost 100 years, this ground floor property was tastefully re-modelled as a studio apartment for couples or single travellers. In the summer the world’s last sea going paddle steamer the ‘Waverley’ calls to pick up passengers for a sail down the Loch.On the edge of the village a local farm provides activities such as quad biking and archery. Also in the heart of the village, the family run ‘The Blairmore’ eatery serves hearty Scottish Breakfasts, quality meals with locally sourced produce as well as delicious coffee & homemade cakes. They also have a wee shop with quality gifts & some ‘deli’ gifts for foodies.Lots of adventures into the hills,  or level walks along the shore start right outside the front door. Within walking distance in the neighbouring village of Strone is a great pub, golf course & tea shop.The village has an hourly bus service to the seaside town Dunoon, on the way passing local attractions such as Kilmun Arboretum, Kilmun Mausoleum, and Benmore Botanical Gardens.
