Hotels with WiFi in Pas-de-Calais

Room was lovely and modern and clean. Lovely bathroom with an incredible shower 🚿 plus gorgeous toiletries and little extras like cotton buds, shower cap, ear plugs. Despite the room being small, there was plenty of storage. Neat little touches like a poem and local mineral water. Totally soundproof - didn't hear a thing from outside the room. Reception staff were delightful - friendly and helpful. Directly across the road from the Louvre-Lens so super handy for that. Also several free parking g spaces at the rear of the hotel which were greatly appreciated. Stylish and clean communal spaces. A fab hotel for a wonderful stay

We arrived at reception and had a pleasant welcome. I asked if we could change the room from 1 Queen Bed to 2 singles (i was with my son). Was told this was possible - please wait and we will make your room. No problem. 20 odd minutes later was told this is not possible, need to upgrade cost is €15. Ok I agreed, and payed then. Took another 20 mins to change the booking which i felt was a bit too long. Room was nice and suited our needs, nice bathroom and shower no problem. In the morning came down to reception to check out. Different staff as expected. But was asked to pay for the room. I proved that my booking had already been paid - months ago. I was then asked to pay for the upgrade. I explained that i had already paid the day before and showed the proof on my bank statement. Was told i need to pay an additional €10 as the price has changed. I objected and said that is not acceptable. I was then asked to pay for breakfast, but we had not had any breakfast so I refused again. I was then asked to pay the city tax - which may have been paid originally but after much negotiation and 2 other members of staff joining, i relunctantly paid an additional €2.8 or similar so that i could leave. All in, this totally ruined the experience, after pre-paying and paying upfront I should not have to spend more than 30mins to negotiate check-out. Because of this other customers approached the reception and then left again. I must stress that neither party lost our temper or shouted, but it was very stressful. It appears the system is a shambles and did not help the poor lady behind the desk who seemed totally exasperated. It was suggested that should i pay again then she would have to fund the difference herself. This amounts to blackmail, and I wholly hope the management behind this hotel do not seriously expect the staff to fund the inadequate function of the computer system that has been installed. Please rectify this poor situation immediately.

Excellent stay in this SPA hotel, pleasant staff and varied and extensive breakfast. There is one hour of SPA included per day, but attention must be reserved to the slot (which eventually avoids blinding the SPA and allows relaxation).

Great location short drive from the Ferry Port. Check in unfortunately not until 1600 although could check in earlier for a charge Beautiful Chateau. Pleasant gardens but not overly manicured lawns and wooded areas. Public rooms beautifully restored and furnished. Bedroom was on the 2nd floor with a view over the front lawn and was nicely furnished with a large comfy bed although the room was small with one chair and no work surface fridge or air conditioning but fan available . The en suite bathroom had no shower curtain and an unpleasant smell of drains not unusual for France. No lift two flights of stairs to 2 nd floor rooms final flight steep. Difficult for someone with even minor mobility problems. Breakfast not included but good continental provision with the addition of scrambled eggs and sausages. Dinner superb although very limited menu choices. Exquisite presentation and service. Good value accommodation in a lovely location. Would recommend highly.

Nice location however the hotel car park it is not well signposted. Average breakfast for the price. No drawers in the room no minibar or fridge, very basic amenities for a 4 star hotel. The shower door in the bath went beyond the bath edge and allow water to go on the floor creating a paddle in the bathroom. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointing experience considering the price to pay for a mediocre dinner. The staff are completely oblivious to guests requests or suggestions. We ordered the deep fried squid and they were just served as finger food, piping hot when I asked for a plate to transfer the squid from a napkin cone with kitchen foil propping the squid to make it look plentiful, I was told tge you have to eat it with your fingers??. Pepper steak that tasted and looked terrible, the steak was cooked to the right temperature however burned on the outside, the so called peppercorn sauce was just a pan wash, no pepper at all, no stock or seasoning, it tasted like water and salt. I had a bottle of red Burgundy that I drink regularly and to my dissatisfaction on tasting the wine it was unbalanced, when I pointed this out to the staff, the wine was taken away somewhere in the back, the waitress then returned to say that her colleague had said that the wine was fine and that decanting it would correct the wine. The decanter was clearly chipped on the rim and I objected and requested at the least a non chipped one. The wine didn’t correct. Apart from the company of my wife and the garden surrounding all the rest was very unlike of what a 4 star hotel’s restaurant should provide. The grounds of the hotel are very relaxing and comfortable,

I picked this hotel as it is ideally located near the channel tunnel. Literally about 5 minutes drive. My only issue was when checking in. I was extremely tired from having driven 7 hours to be told that my booking had not been paid for! I had 100% paid and I had the receipt to show them but it took them about half an hour to finally see that trip.com had sent the money. By this time I was at crying point as so tired I just wanted to go to my room. Bearing in mind they were both speaking in French so I didn’t have a clue what they were saying either, it was really stressful. I messaged trip.com and they were extremely helpful and the issue was sorted a few minutes after that, so I wish I’d done that in the beginning but was not sure what the problem was at that point as could not understand them. There was also a couple behind me who had the same problem. Once I’d got over that, the hotel itself was absolutely fine. I went back down to reception and the lady was really helpful with giving me directions etc. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but I got a hot chocolate out of their machine for a few euros and that was really nice. The room was quite small but that didn’t bother me as just a place to sleep for the night before my journey the next day. I would stay here again as convenient for Chanel tunnel.

Location wise this hotel could not be faulted. Excellent location. Close to everything you could possibly need. Room. Very small. And the shower cubicle even smaller. Anyone with a larger frame would really struggle. (We were on the third floor don’t know if that makes a difference) There was literally hardly any space to move. If you dropped something you would need to be careful you didn’t crack your head. Also there was no window in the bathroom so by the end of our four nights it was beginning to smell a bit funky. I feel the cleaning left a lot to be desired. When we arrived there was lots of dust/dirt in the corner of the bedroom. The sort when you rub it with your shoe it balls up. This stayed for the duration. I think also the pillows could do with an upgrade. They were very uncomfortable. We didn’t eat at the hotel. I think it was reasonably priced considering the location. All in all though our stay was a good one. It was a beautiful place and we would return again. Just maybe not at the Red Fox.

The room was clean but shabby, with paint scratches. The bed was large and comfortable. The ambient temperature was fine. The bathroom was clean but the towels were very thin and the shower, toilet and sink did not flow away quickly or flush properly. The entry self service computer did not recognise my reservation number. We were not the first to have this problem. There was a helpful reception staff on the intercom, but after that, we each experienced many problems accessing the hotel door and our room door. Many guests seem to have the same issues. Our room was near the sliding doors, which were quite noisy. It's a big complex and near to a pleasant selection of restaurants. We would not book a B&B hotel again. There are many other more pleasant, welcoming and economic hotels on a busy route.

Arrived around 23:00 with reception closed. Access to the room was not available until the tourist tax was paid (1€60) but the out of hours machine only took credit card and I only had cash and Apple Pay. Luckily another person with a credit card was booking in and used her credit card for me in exchange for the cash. The room was basic which was fine but the pillow was completely inadequate with no spare pillows available in the room and reception closed. The bathroom door looked like someone had put a fist through it with no attempt at a repair. Other nearby B&B hotels are much better. This is certainly in need of modernisation. No tea and coffee making facilities but there were charge points for electric cars though

We have used The hotel H eco several times before. The rooms are usually quite nice for a 1 night stopover. They are clean but basic which is just enough. This time however, we arrived at midnight, used the codes to get in and found the room. There seemed to be quite a few men just hanging around, windows open, loud conversation and music going on. Up in the room it was noisy, people chatting loudly next door by now 12:30. We went to bed. At 2-2:30 our door was rattled extensively which woke us up and left us a little un-nerved. There was still conversation from next door. At 3:00 am our other neighbours returned talking at full volume, opening and closing the doors several times letting them bang and rattle. There were lots of other noise and people moving about the building. We didn’t get back to sleep, we had a terrible night which has taken its toll on us both during today’s long drive. Unfortunately it will be unlikely that we will be staying here again. A very noisy place that felt more like a young person’s hostel than a family friendly hotel.
