"I had such a great stay in Tacheng, thanks to the hotel’s owner! When I planned my Yunnan trip and asked AI to help me (because of the lack of online information in English), and it recommended me to go to Tacheng to see the snub-nosed monkeys, little did I know that nothing could be done there without a car. Fellow travelers, just so you know: there are no bus stations nor taxis in Tacheng. I of course only realized it once I arrived. I felt dumb (no I do not have a car nor a driver), but the hotel’s owner was super kind and gave my friend and I free roundtrip rides, to the hotel and in the early morning to the Snub-nosed Monkey Park (that is closeby). Because the closest restaurant was 42 km away, we were given a generous and delicious dinner. (It was supposed to be 50 rmb but at the end the boss made it free.) I’m vegetarian and the boss accommodated me. The breakfast, that was included in the price, was also generous and delicious. As for the hotel, it was beautiful and comfortable. There’s a really nice living room (we were given free fruits and free beer!) and a really nice patio as well. The room was clean, the pillows were so soft and the shower was surprisingly techno. I slept very well, even though a rooster started to crow in the early morning (so remember to close the window before going to sleep). In the evening, we walked in the surroundings and I liked it so much, it was picturesque and peaceful. My stay in Tacheng could’ve been a nightmare but thanks to the hotel’s owner, I really enjoyed it (and I got to see the famous snub-nosed monkeys!) So I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, where I didn’t expect so much kindness and generosity."

"Especially praise the homestay, the boss is very careful about the decoration and garden design of the homestay. After a day of self-driving, staying in the homestay seemed to return to my own small courtyard, and the fatigue was swept away. The whole family fell in love with this homestay immediately. Inspiringly, dinner ordered a chicken stew soup, the kind boss gave us a free bovine fungus."

"It seems like this is the better one in this area? Some feelings are as follows 1. Is there a dirty spot on the pillowcase? 2. The mobile TV set-top box cannot be used and the remote control is out of power? There were also network problems and the bedside light switch was broken. 3. The shower head is broken... 4. The air conditioner doesn’t produce cold air at all… (deficient in fluorine)? 5. Breakfast is good 6. Parking spaces are tight 😓 7. The door does not have damping...it will scare people when the door next door is closed at night."

"There's a fairly large backyard that can park over a dozen cars. The accommodation is in an older building with an elevator. This room type doesn't have air conditioning, but it provides a fan and electric blankets. Because it's quite cool up in the mountains, you can use the electric blankets in early May, and it's quite comfortable to sleep in. This town could be renamed ”Supermarket Town”—it's full of huge supermarkets and snack shops. If you're going to see the monkeys, be aware that the road up the mountain to the park is currently (25 years old) under construction, with significant ditches and obstacles; cars should proceed with caution."

"Good sized room, with complementary tea and water. I had dinner downstairs and it was great value. I completely over ordered but they packed it up for me which was great Stayed there to try and see the Yunnan Snub Nosed Monkeys. Sadly I found out that the park was closed because of landslides. Nothing the hotel could have done about it, and they were helpful in arranging a bus back to Shangri-La once I'd found out. No English was spoken, but they would help me through my translate app where I asked them."

"Staying at this hotel on this trip, the overall experience is particularly satisfactory. The location is excellent, it is very convenient to go out to take a taxi, go shopping and eat. The front desk service is warm and gentle, the check-in speed is very fast, and the surrounding attractions are also intimately recommended. The room was cleaned very clean, there was no dust in the corner, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the hot water supply was stable, the sound insulation effect was online, and the rest was quiet at night. Cleaning is cleaned on time every day, drinking water and toiletries are replenished in time. The breakfast buffet is rich in variety, with pastries, hot porridge, fruit and fresh ingredients. "Opening the window revealed a rice paddy. It was a pity we went at the wrong time of year, but the morning air was incredibly fresh. The courtyard was filled with the owner's flowers and plants: ginkgo, ugly orange, and lantern flowers. The sunlight streaming into the courtyard was so comforting. The guesthouse was run by a young couple and had a very homey feel. The rooms were spacious and cozy, the mattresses were super comfortable, and the owners were incredibly welcoming. Since we arrived quite late and it was a bit chilly, the owners warmly invited us to chat by the grill and even brought us some ice wine to try. The owner's wife made a bouquet of dried flowers from fallen ginkgo leaves in the yard, which I loved and gave to me. The breakfast was very characteristic of the Naxi people and incredibly plentiful. The corn was so sweet I ate a whole ear and was stuffed! Although we were a bit rushed, I couldn't resist taking a stroll around the guesthouse area to soak in the warmth and simplicity. Next time I have the chance to go to Weixi, I'll definitely choose this place again."

"We had a great stay at this family-fun guesthouse (we are a family of three, travelling with a 3-year-old). The owners were super-friendly and very generous - they offered us complimentary fruit, including watermelon from their own field behind, wild honey, and even cooked some wild mushrooms that we had picked in the woods for us (after double-checking that they were edible!) The guestrooms are clean, light, comfortable and spacious - and there is air conditioning available in case it's slightly warmer in the summer months. The mattresses were also fairly comfortable. The location is great - next to a river, about a 10-minute drive up from Tacheng Town. This makes getting to the monkey reserve and Damozushi Temple (the main attractions) more convenient. On the food side, the breakfast was hearty to the extreme and varied from day to day, with various local specialties including local ******* Yak Butter Tea. Pretty much everything was homemade. You can also eat there in the evenings to avoid driving to town - and the lady that runs it is a great cook. Other pros include the lovely decking by the river and the walkway that the village has developed along the river bank - perfect for a morning/evening stroll, or in our case, taking our little one for a spin on her balance bike. We live in Lijiang, so not too far away - and will definitely be coming back to stay here again. 这次我们带着三岁的小宝贝，全家三口人在这家很有家庭味的客栈住得特别开心。老板夫妻特别热情大方，请我们吃自家地里种的西瓜、野蜂蜜，还帮我们把在山里采的野生菌烹调好（还贴心地先确认能不能吃），味道真是一绝！ 房间干净明亮，宽敞舒适，夏天稍热的时候还有空调可用，床垫也挺舒服的，睡得很踏实。 位置很好，就在河边，离塔城镇开车大概十分钟。去猴子保护区和达摩祖师庙这些景点都很方便。 早餐丰盛得不得了，而且天天不重样，还有不少当地特色，比如藏族的酥油茶，基本都是自家做的。晚餐也可以直接在客栈吃，省得开车去镇上，老板娘手艺没得说。 另外，河边的露台和村里沿河修的栈道都很美，早晚散步很舒服，我们还带着孩子在那儿骑平衡车，玩得不亦乐乎。 我们平时生活在丽江，离这里不算远，以后一定会再来！"
