The 'Sichuan girls' (a local nickname for women from Sichuan province, known for their sweet demeanor) really live up to their reputation! As breakfast wasn't included in my reservation, I inquired at the front desk if it could be added, but the response was rather abrupt. "I think this hotel is at most a 2.5-3 star hotel. The front desk is like a motel. The breakfast at this hotel was the worst I had on this trip; many items were cold, and the selection was extremely limited! The room was quite spacious and had a smart control system, but the shower water pressure was incredibly low; I almost caught a cold from showering so much! 😂 The room wasn't soundproof either; I couldn't hear any water noise all night. The hotel is very close to the south gate of Jianmen Pass, a 3-5 minute walk, which is very convenient. Overall, it feels like a 2.5-star hotel; the price-performance ratio is not high."

I found this one for a long time. It was a pleasant surprise. The night view outside the hotel room was clean and the night view was beautiful. It was 5 minutes from the south gate of Jianmenguan. The front desk service was warm and free tofu pot and rice, and free breakfast was also given! There is also a theater next door, and I just arrived at 8 o'clock in the evening and watched the show for free. It was a good experience!

The hotel is conveniently located right by the main bridge in Puan Town, the former county seat, which makes getting around very easy. They offer free parking for guests, and the prices are quite affordable. Several aspects stood out: 1. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. 2. The rooms were spotlessly clean. 3. Breakfast was plentiful, varied, and quite delicious. Our entire group stayed here, and we were all extremely satisfied with our experience.

Very good hotel to use as a base for hiking different sections of the Old Shu Road. Service is friendly, there are boards with explanations of the different routes and how to get there. It’s within walking distance of the historic center of Pu’an and the starting point of the west route of the Shu Road.
