"Not quite sure why this is classed as a resort, despite that we had a very comfortable two night stay here. The location is right on the waters edge with excellent views out to sea and back to Himi.There is a shared outdoor bath which is available for private use, we enjoyed the experience.There is a whole place was spotlessly clean. All instructions and check in procedures were available in Japanese and English, a great help to us. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here but with a slight word of caution; the stairs to the upper rooms are quite steep and might be a challenge for the less able."

"We used this hotel to celebrate my mother's 99th birthday and my sister's 70th birthday. The food was truly Himi-quality! We were very satisfied with the fresh sashimi and the elaborate dishes that kept coming one after another. I secretly ordered a cake in advance and had it delivered to the hotel on the day of our stay, and my mother and sister were delighted with the surprise. The location was also fantastic; we could see the sea change color from sunset and the sunrise rising over the ocean was amazing. We would love to come back again."

"I was looking forward to the hot springs, but the women's bath was closed, so I couldn't go in when I wanted because the men's and women's times had to be adjusted. Also, there were quite a few restrictions, such as the indoor bath being unavailable and only the open-air bath being available, so I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. It was quite disappointing."

"There are buses after getting off the train at Himi Station, but tourists often can't predict the travel time! So we took a taxi for 3300 yen. Located on a small hill by the sea, the hotel was a Japanese-Western style place. The room was surprisingly large and even had a balcony; we watched the sunrise from our room early in the morning. The onsen (hot spring) was comfortable and beautiful. We dined in a private room; the ingredients were fresh. Overall, it was quite good value for money, except that it was a bit far from the city center. For the return trip, you can ask the front desk for bus schedules to Himi Station."
