"Lovely welcome at reception. Really helpful with parking. The room was large, lovely and warm and had every thing we needed. The most beautiful setting for breakfast again with friendly and helpful staff. Loved the decorated Christmas trees. The hotel was in an ideal location for Bettys and the shops."

Hotel du Vin & Bistro Harrogate ★★★★

📍 11 Prospect Pl W Pk, Harrogate

"Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary - no special treatment Room ok - even though I had said I’d limited mobility it was on the 1st floor up 3 steps. Creaky floors  Shower had 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner with no shower gel - only found out when already under shower Parking but cost £15 a night with no reduction for blue badge holders Steps up to front entrance  Steps down to reception desk Breakfast was ok - sauce on eggs Benedict was cold and no beans on traditional breakfast - recommend boiled eggs and soldiers"

The Yorkshire Hotel ★★★★

📍 Prospect Pl W Pk, Harrogate

"We stayed here with my wife for two nights and overall we were very happy with our stay. The location is excellent, right in the centre of Harrogate, and almost everything is within easy walking distance. The room was clean, the bathroom was sufficient, and the hotel met our expectations. We stayed during an unusually hot week across the UK, so the only real downside was the cooling. Like many places in the country, the room had a small fan, but it was not quite enough for that level of heat. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay. The restaurant downstairs was also very good, and the pub area opening onto both sides of the street had a really nice atmosphere. We were glad we chose this hotel for our trip and would like to thank the team."

Premier Inn Harrogate South Hotels in Harrogate

Premier Inn Harrogate South

"The hotel is ideally situated next to the rail line which could be heard from our room but it was definitely not intrusive. Building work is currently taking place at Harrogate south hotel and contractors vehicles were parked directly outside our bedroom window causing us both privacy issues and noise disturbances. These same vehicles were repeatedly parking in the disability spaces making them unavailable for those like myself who needed to use them. In addition to this the back entrance of the hotel reception (closest to the disabled parking bays) was also blocked off to hotel users on one day meaning all visitors had to use the front entrance. It appeared to us that no consideration was made to those with mobility issues. A skip was dropped off about 5 am this which woke us both up. And the icing on the cake was a huge downpour of water lasting in excess of 15-20 mins was unleashed during this incredibly noisy morning. We later learned that this was a water tank in the hotel being emptied all over one side of the hotel. Unbelievable. I am happy to report that all staff we kind and accommodating and were very working hard"

"Sophie’s B&B and coffee shop is lovely. We stopped for just one night, on our way to Northumberland. We would have loved to stay longer! Every aspect - the warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and superb breakfast - is top-notch. Highly recommended!"

The Franklin Hotels in Harrogate

The Franklin

"Well, 3.5 stars. There is no doubt that Dan is a welcoming and informative host. He cooks a good breakfast too. The hotel is close to and convenient to the town centre, which is good - though I can’t agree with other reviews saying the street is quiet: it wasn’t when I was there thanks to building work and very early morning refuse collection but perhaps on other days it is fine. Noise disturbance from the adjoining property was more of an issue, walls are thin. For me, though, the Franklin has some other downsides. I stayed in the ‘deluxe’ room and wouldn’t again. For sure, the room is quite large and faces the street. But perhaps this is why the room was so very cold; the radiator wasn’t up to the job. A hot water bottle is available, but I don’t want to be relying on that to be warm. There is a seating area promoted on the room description but the seats are two hard and really uncomfortable dining chairs. Ten minutes on one of them was more than enough. Room furnishing is an eclectic mix, including a massive oriental decorative fan and a massive wardrobe adorned with plastic shrubbery which all seemed a bit odd. What really drags down my opinion was the shower: it drains very, very slowly which is fine if only for the fact that the water is such a woeful dribble from the shower head the drain can just about cope. Stay here by all means but I would opt for one of the side rooms, which at least have an armchair and maybe better water pressure."

Doubletree by Hilton Harrogate - Majestic Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring sights of Harrogate everything very nearby! From checking in and our room available early with welcome cookies which were warm and amazing to checkout the staff could not be more helpful! The room was on the third floor clean, tidy and well presented. The gym and spa facilities were all good and nice to use and relax especially on a Sunday evening! The breakfast was buffet with a selection of hot and cold options the parcel machine was my favourite fresh pancakes which were delicious! This hotel is huge but it's well maintained clean tidy and such an enjoyable experience for our anniversary!"

"I use this hotel constantly. Conveniently located and staff are great. We booked two rooms independently of each other and received complimentary upgrades. Short walk into town, I always go back. We got in at 1.00pm and night porters always happy to serve you a tipple"
