I found that they were treating me exceptionally well here at this property. From the moment I checked in, I was being upgraded. How they made me feel was that I was truly valued as a guest of the hotel which is quite uncommon actually in Vietnam. Because many locally run hotels prioritize cost efficiency and raw profit over ethics and opinions. Such boutique hotels can be exceptionally pricey and in my opinion usually aren’t as advertised and have comparatively smaller rooms and facilities. If you stay on a low day, you get amazing rates that compete directly with those Vietnamese boutique hotels in old quarter. And it’s a great time to come here and enjoy. Rooms are very spacy and the breakfast was amazing too. I truly enjoyed my stay here. Just a casual comment, this lake like many others in Hanoi is smelling terrible at points closer to land. I think Vietnam in general needs to work on pollution control.
The service at two hotel restaurants are disappointing. 3Spoons offered A La Carte breakfast menu and when I plan to go inside on 4/8, the receptionist named Ngan said it would take 40 minutes to have the food ready. It’s a bad experience to discourage a guest to go inside, given a booking was made at 10am before already.
The second strange thing is Stella Steakhouse. We visited it on 3 Aug night and there was only one table. We ordered five sets for ourselves n 3 kids. Before we start the main, the male manager came and asked us for ordering a desert. We’re quick to order five ice cream. After the main was done, I found too full and I knew they said ice cream would not be served until we finished our main. I asked the female waitress to cancel one ice cream and she said the male manager said can’t cos the order already delivered to the kitchen… that was disappointing again.
The services of two in-house intercontinental restaurants should not be meeting to a five star hotel restaurant.
