InterContinental Properties in Hanoi

The hotel is indeed quite old, but it's considered a more upscale establishment in the area. The service is excellent, and all the staff speak English well. The front desk lady, in particular, had very good English and was very enthusiastic. I booked a room for two adults and one child in advance, and the hotel provided a free extra bed. Although the room became a bit cramped with the extra bed, we still slept comfortably. The blinds in the room were broken and couldn't close properly at night, which meant the bright outdoor lights were a bit bothersome, but that's understandable given the age of the facilities. Most of the attractions in Hanoi are concentrated in the Old Quarter, and there's not much around the InterContinental, so we had to take a taxi every day. If convenience is your priority, you might prefer staying in the Old Quarter. However, if you're looking for peace and a good environment, this hotel is still a great choice.

My daughter was participating in a math competition, and we found the environment at the Lounge on the 71st floor to be peaceful and comfortable for her to study during the first two days. For the remaining four days, we spent a lot of time at the Lounge and the 3spoons Restaurant on the 62nd floor, as my daughter preferred the hotel's food. I was amazed by the attentiveness and politeness of the staff, who took the time to introduce us to the restaurant's ambiance and cuisine. One particular incident stood out to me when my daughter's favorite sushi was out of stock. The restaurant staff promptly prepared it for us and delivered it to our table, showing their dedication to serving every guest with care. I would like to extend a special thank you to the service team members Hong, Dieu, Thao, and their colleagues. Your professionalism and helpfulness did not go unnoticed, and you truly deserve recognition for your outstanding service. Thank you once again for making our stay memorable.
