"My sister and I spent a fabulous week in the Grampians and stayed in one of the Wonderland Cottages. We were both so impressed with this very comfortable, eco friendly accommodation. Owners Matt and Danny have extensive knowledge of the area and are putting their heart and soul into providing holiday makers with a memorable experience. Cottage was very clean, with good natural light and a nice outlook from every room. We were warm as toast with option of 3 air con units or an efficient wood heater. The coffee table compendiums were brilliant, providing detailed information of numerous walking trails, local attractions and dining options. We referred to them daily. The owners have ongoing plans for improvements to further enhance the visitor experience. We’d gladly stay again and would highly recommend Wonderland Cottages to those looking for comfortable, well priced accommodation in Halls Gap. Many thanks to Matt and Danny."

"We arrived on Monday 4th and from the outset the experience was great. Our spa cabin was very spacious and comfortable and had all of the facilties required for a relaxing getaway. The wildlife in the area on our front door step (kangaroos, kookuburras, ducks) each afternoon made it and even more memorable experience. Looking forward to returning. "

"I was a little apprehensive when booking the room, but after seeing the mountain viewpoint, the waterfall, kangaroos, parrots, emus on the grassland, and the Milky Way at night! Chatting with the local fishermen about fishing (who often come back empty-handed, haha), and watching the kangaroos fighting on the opposite grassland, it was all worth it! The room was a bit old, but cleanliness was still no problem! Some small insects were inevitable, given that we were in the mountains; we sprayed mosquito repellent on the curtains and the back door, which mostly solved the problem. The receptionist was my type—straightforward and frank, with a bit of a Beijing gentleman's feel to him."

"The villas are located in a beautiful complex surrounded by forest, where you can start a nature walk right outside your door, or reach the town center with just a 20-minute walk. "This holiday park is in a beautiful location with the craggy mountains of The Grampians overlooking our cabin and kangaroos munching grass outside. Although the cabin was a bit the worse for wear, it had everything we needed. Our biggest concern was that we were not able to charge our electric car from either our cabin or a vacant caravan site as we have been able to do at every other holiday park we have visited. We were told that it would overload the electrical circuit in our villa which shows a complete lack of knowledge of EVs which would use only 10amps when charging overnight when very few appliances are being used. We have not recommended this holiday park on EV Facebook forums."

"We arrived during check in time to find the office unattended and another traveller trying to contact them by phone. After a 15 minute wait someone came to the office. They checked us in but when we went to the room and opened the door there was a very surprised man in there who had also been given this room. Another phone call and wait time for staff to return and sort out another room. We finally got there but after a long drive and both wanting to use the bathroom we found there was no toilet paper in the room.. that took another 2 phone calls and about 15 minutes to sort out. I booked this accommodation because it has a swimming pool. I went to use the pool to find it was locked and after another call was told that they think the filter is broken. Nothing on their information said the pool was not available and it appears it has been that way for a while. We loved the location and I'd probably stay there again.. I'll just be prepared for the lack of quality service. We didn't let it spoil our stay.."
