"We stayed at Halifax South Premier Inn for 1 night on our way back from a new year break and for the price (just £50!) it couldn’t be faulted. Even before we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful, responding quickly to my request for a corner top floor room and allocating us exactly that. This warmth from staff continued at check in and throughout our stay. Our room was exactly what you’d expect from a premier inn, basic furnishings but clean and with a lovely view of the canal. The room was also blissfully quiet with no noise from outside or other guests. There is ample easy parking and we had both dinner and breakfast at the Brewer’s Fayre next door on a premier inn meal deal. The food was decent pub grub and again the service was friendly - having veggie sausage and bacon available at breakfast was a great plus! For the value and location - just outside Halifax - we’d definitely stay here again if in the area."

It is in need of some significant refurbishment and upgrading but was good value considering the room rate. The staff were friendly and a basic breakfast is included in the price. It's good for anyone looking for a basic room on a budget when visiting Halifax but don't expect Travelodge or Premier Inn standards for the price."
