Relais Ducale ★★★★
"Perfect location, hotel a bit scattered and a bit dated, very varied breakfast"
Park Hotel Ai Cappuccini ★★★★
"A last minute booking (as we needed to move from a less than suitable hotel nearby) and we were not disappointed! An excellent hotel with a lovely welcome and wonderful front of house service. We had a superior room which was lovely with complimentary Prosecco to celebrate my wife's birthday whilst we were there. Although we didn't use it, complimentary spa and pool use was included with our room and the breakfasts and dinners were excellent with a good choice of dishes and impeccable service throughout. Well done on an excellent two night stay albeit a bit on the expensive side."
Bosone Palace ★★★★
"The place itself is fabulous, with old wooden beams and floors. The desk clerk, Julia, was so helpful and nice and friendly. The breakfast room is gorgeous, along with the yummy breakfast. I wish we had stayed there longer. Location was perfect. I would return in a heartbeat!"
Hotel Gattapone ★★★
"The hotel is located in the heart of the historic center of Gubbio. Staff is very kind, ready to help and answer the questions raised. All rooms have everything for a comfortable rest after wonderful walks on the Gubbio streets, especially you want to mark the comfort of the bed. For breakfast, a continental breakfast is offered: meat, cheeses, various chips, yoghurts, juices and traditional baking."
Castello di Petroia Dimora d'Epoca ★★★
"Beautiful property. It is a family property with an addition of guest rooms in differents parts of the castle. We enjoyed the stay and the friendly staff was always helpful. There is a very good restaurant. Cons, because it is a small property, some problems cannot be solved immediately, but the workers always were helpful and tried to upgrade the room even under a small problem, that could affect our excellent experience. one personal highlight: One day we bought some cheese and snacks as well as a prosecco bottle and seat outside, then Paolo, the restaurant manager, saw us an provided an ice bucket as well as candles (it was too dark) and table service, big detail The castle and its location are a dream, in the middle of nowhere, but close to main Umbria points of interest."
Hotel San Marco ★★★
"We don’t understand why the TripAdvisor average is under 4.0. This property is a very good 3-star hotel. Some rooms overlook the large gorgeous beautifully-kept garden, where there is a play area for kids, and where one can have an ample breakfast. The included buffet offers scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, a variety of pork products, cheese, prunes, fresh fruit, canned peaches, plain yogurt and fruit yogurt, a variety of pastries and breads, 8 types of jam, over 5 types of cereal (flakes, granola, etc.). There is a coffee machine with all the typical Italian options, and about 10 types of tea and infusion bags. Sometimes employees made special coffee drinks requested by guests. The breakfast staff are pleasant, welcoming, and work hard to keep items stocked. The rooms are kept very clean by the pleasant and welcoming housekeeping staff. Unfortunately, our first room had a shower drain that smelled very bad, like perhaps sewage. However, there was no problem with the second room. There is also pretty good soundproofing, perhaps due to the thick walls; in our room we usually could not hear the group of young people who stayed in a dozen rooms and gathered late at night every night to let off steam. The floors made of clay tiles are easier to keep clean than carpeting. There aren’t any individual safes in rooms (which there should be in a 3-star hotel), but you can keep valuables at the front desk. The front desk employees are professional and mostly courteous, but definitely need some improvement in their level of English language proficiency, and I say this as someone who has stayed in scores of hotels all over Italy and can make knowledgeable comparisons. Decades ago most visitors to Gubbio were Italian and other Europeans, but there has been an increasing number of English speakers, so the staff should try to keep up instead of becoming flustered by guests who don’t speak Italian. Some TripAdvisor users say the place looks dated. It’s true that the dark red furniture and drapes are old-fashioned, but on the other hand those heavy drapes along with the floor-to-ceiling shutters and thick walls help keep out the brutal heat."
Agriturismo A Casa Mia Gubbio ★★★
"A gem!! The room was spotlessly clean, and adorably and uniquely decorated. The attention to details is undeniable. The homemade cakes are divine and the owners (Vanessa and Michele) are super kind and welcoming. We loved chatting with them at breakfast and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is perfect…a quick 10 minutes car ride from the heart of Gubbio, immersed in the most peaceful country side. We will definitely be back…in the meantime, please give Willy a belly scratch for us ;-)"
Agriturismo Casella Del Piano ★★★
"A clean, clean place, well-divided and spacious apartments with all the comforts but above all the lovely, gentle, friendly and well-organised staff so much that go away was a real distress. The kitchen is top from breakfast to lunch a charming experience!"
Hub Hotel ★★★
"The best hotel in Gubbio."
