"My 2nd time visiting this place this month and both times the pool was closed. The 1st time had a room on the 2nd floor and the receptionist was nice enough to accommodate me and move me to another room due to the carpet smelling moldy and just not pleasant. They explained to me that its the floor they usually allow pets on so its possible the previous guest had a dog and probably soiled the carpet. The 2nd time I rented there they once again put me on the 2nd floor and this time by the fire exit and the rooms door was literally touching the fire door which kept opening and closing all night long. As soon as I got there I noticed this was going to be a problem as I went to go to my room and saw somebody walking from where my room was and it was from that fire exit. Explained to the receptionist this time which was a different receptionist and she kind of blew me off and told me nobody had ever mentioned anything about that door opening and closing and being disturbed by it. She promptly told me o im sorry and the only other room available the a/c isn't working but there was a gentleman that arrived as I was leaving and he was checking in so there were rooms available and it was still early only 5pm. I also asked her about the ice bucket in my room which I had in hand and asked her if there should be a bag in there or we should just fill up the dirty bucket which my girlfriend had to wash and it had water already in it which she them said o im sorry there wasnt any In there and supplied me with 2 bags. Decent place just lil minor things and that 2nd receptionist was not really helpful at all. I definitely felt stero typed as she was real pleasant with the woman before me and very talkative but which me it was a real quick do you need help with something which really wasnt a nice way to start off. Besides that the place is nice and the breakfast was simple but pretty decent."

"On the first day, I had to wait until 5 o'clock before I could check in. The entire hotel covers a large area and the lobby is very bright. The service is really hard to say. The service staff who cleaned the room didn't seem to understand English very well. There was only coffee on the first day of check-in, and the price was more expensive for 3 people than for 2 people, but only two coffees were given. After cleaning the room, I didn't get coffee either. I had to go to the front desk to ask for it. I stayed for 6 days and asked for coffee 3 times at the front desk 😰. There is no kettle or tea. There is a small business district around the hotel, with a small supermarket, a pharmacy, and a coffee lunch shop in the business district. There is a magnolia tree at the door, which is very beautiful!"

"This is my third time staying at this hotel. The lobby has been renovated and it is close to Christmas. It is very beautiful. The breakfast is very rich and the tableware is of good quality. The room is also very large. It is close to the New Year. There are various events every day. The staff are very nice. The steak house next door is really a must-eat every time. It is awesome."

"TThe hotel is easy to find and located in Tarrytown with convenient access to the highway. However, you will definitely need a car to get around. The hotel itself feels quite dated and somewhat run-down, especially the rooms. Cleanliness is acceptable but nothing exceptional. The bed is comfortable, though the room can be a bit noisy due to traffic from the nearby highway. Service is good. The lovely lady at the front desk was very helpful and always tried her best to assist."

"Was in the area for a wedding, and daughter/son-in-law flew in from CA. Daughter saw pics of this venue and talked us into spending last night here.  Pics are impressive. Unfortunately the bldg. portrayed is an event venue and summertime restaurant. So don’t expect to even step inside.  The actual rooms are in a late 60’s early 70’s multi-bldg.  motel that still contains the furniture and carpets from that era.  Our room had the musty smell of being closed up a long time. Our view was the end wall of another bldg about 10’ away.  Best view we found on the property was a peek-a-boo of the Hudson about a 1/2 mile away. Our first days were at the Courtyard also in Tarrytown.  Per night prices were similar. Proximity to attractions, amenities, service , cleanliness and hospitality were not even close in favor of the Courtyard. If a person was attending an event held here, then staying here may be more advantageous then commuting.  Buyer Beware!"
