"This is a basic Travelodge but its reflected in the price. Invariably this hotel is in a stop-over location and for that purpose, it was perfect. Bathroom a little dated and could have been cleaner but the bedroom was warm, clean and smell fresh. Nice Starbucks on site and if you need a beer, would recommend the Fox Inn Truckstop across the road which, I'm told, is accesible via an underpass by the nearest junction. As we arrived at night we crossed the A1 on foot, prob wouldn't recommend that! Cheap beer and food available, in addition to the OK diner next door. "

"If I'm honest this hotel was not great value for money. The room was small, not very clean, bed was uncomfortable and smelt musty (I know they make a big thing about being a hotel/inn since 1203 - but I don't want the smell from that era as well). I have stayed here previously and it was much better (or at least the room I was in was better). So I will not being staying here in the future"

"Excellent service and good facilities. The hotel is about 30 minutes walk to the train station. There is a pub next door for food and drink . I would recommend staying here as it’s convenient and affordable"

"Great hotel excellent value.. The staff provided an excellent service. Rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and clothes hangers. Also provided with a hair dyer, iron, iron board, kettle tea and coffee making facilities.The bed is huge and very comfortable with good quality bed linen. Nice very clean bathroom, freshly laundered excellent quality towels, large walk in shower cubicle with a very good shower. They do not provide breakfast but you are a 10 minute walk to brewers fayre who provide breakfast. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will use it again in the future."

"Bed was comfortable. The room was not clean. There were beer bottle caps under the bed, headboard top was dusty, bathroom door had dirty brown splashes up it, bathroom tiles were grimy at the toilet wall and behind the door, the tiles that have been cleaned are grimy and streaky, bath taps are dirty all around the base, pull cord for the bathroom light was crispy, beige/brown and absolutely filthy and germ-ridden. I am not one of those people who go around running my fingers along surfaces to judge how well somewhere has been cleaned. In this case white gloves were not needed because the lack of cleanliness was obvious. This was a ground floor, twin room booked for myself and my adult son who has autism. I can’t quite figure it out … maybe this room was left for people with disabilities and not used as often as others? Or maybe it doesn’t need cleaned as often as the other rooms because people with disabilities don’t care? Maybe because it was the only available twin room for 20 miles they knew they could away with leaving it filthy? Who knows? I just know that I will not use Travelodge again nor will I recommend it."

"All good, welcoming and clean room. Enuite 'room' was a prefabricated construction, very small to get 'into' but clean."

"My visit was brief but delightful. The check-in process was welcoming and quick. The staff member at reception was friendly and within moments, I was heading to my room. The massive bed was comfortable, clean and spotless (and I always check it thoroughly before going to sleep, I love smell of fresh linens). Complementary tee, coffe and biscuits were also available not mentioning clean towels and good quality toiletries. Everything was perfect."

"It was my second time staying for 3 nights at this friendly B&B! needless to say it was once again accellent! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The room was so comfortable and super clean ! The food was just as they say the chefs kiss! Highly recommend and of course will be back again :)"
