"Review: Our stay at Hotel Jardín Tecina was a massive disappointment, especially considering we spent over 5,300 Euro. The Service: We were given a verbal confirmation by the reception that we could shorten our stay and receive a refund. Based on this, we rebooked our flights. Afterwards, the hotel went back on their word, hiding behind "non-refundable" terms and essentially calling us liars. This level of dishonesty is unacceptable for a high-end resort. The Food: For a hotel in this price range, the buffet was a letdown. Most of the meat appeared to be pre-boiled/pre-cooked and lacked any culinary quality. It felt more like a mass-production canteen than a 4-star experience. Extra Costs: Despite the high room rate, be prepared to pay extra for almost everything. A large portion of the activities on-site require additional payment, which feels like "nickel-and-diming" the guests. Conclusion: There are far better places to spend your money on La Gomera where they actually value their guests and keep their promises. Stay away."

"A great base for a walking holiday. The staff running the hotel are very friendly. Rooms are adequate with comfortable beds. Our room facing the inner courtyard was rather dark with a downstairs sitting area and bathroom. Bedroom was accessed by climbing a spiral staircase. If anyone has mobility issues I would request not to be allocated one of these rooms. There are other courtyard facing rooms with the bed downstairs. Rooms facing the front do have some traffic noise so worth bearing in mind if you are sensitive to this. The hotel only provides breakfast but there are at least 2 good restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Valhermosso is a superb base for a walking holiday if you don’t have a car. There are buses and taxis in the village. To summarise I would say this hotel is fine for short stays when on a walking holiday."

"The Three Palmers is a dive in the authentic beauty of La Gomera, the space is pleasant and the involvement invites to disconnect from the world, but there is a detail that tells the pace of the stay: hot water. Although the accommodation has its strengths, the water heating system is extremely limited, and the capacity is so short that no one can finish a relaxing bath with constant temperature, as two more. It's a quick exercise that breaks the comfort you expect from a refuge like this. In short: the place is good and the view compensates, but prepare for a "lightning" bath or learn to enjoy temperate water"
