"Located in a quiet quaint neighborhood. It was storming so I didn't get an opponent to enjoy the river and it's surrounding which the accommodation was just next to. But the spacious room came as a joy but unfortunately the beddings were not comfortable. Could feel the bed springs and the pillow overly soft. Wished that they provided tatami beddings instead. Check in details were not provided via booking on trip.com but thankfully could easily contact the owner via WhatsApp. Overall still a great experience."

"It was our first time in a classic Ryokan with a traditional kaiseki dinner and it was just fantastic! Amami is a very small but beautiful place. The staff were very friendly and explained everything in detail. Kaiseki dinner was amazing! We visited in September and the dinner included seasonal persimmon. Hot spring water is really hot for my body, but over time you get used to it and it feels great. Overall our group enjoyed it very much!"
