The Kings Arms and Royal Hotel, Godalming, Surrey
"It’s so good, I will consider ordering it next time."
The Rose & Crown
"We had the room with the king size bed and bunk beds. Only one night. It was comfortable and reasonably clean, but of dust here and there and one of the towels was dirty. Tiny doors and stairs, especially up to the bathroom. Due to the quirky head heights the mirror was at waist level. Breakfast was continental but very nice. Easy to park and the town is so lovely."
The Stag on the River
"All good apart from a couple of things: - I was unaware that the payment for the two rooms was taken 10 days before we checked in. ...(on the booking it said 'pay at hotel'). - the 'fixed price menu' offered on the dinner menu should state 'only available Monday toThursday'. - on looking back, my booking confirmation promised a complimentary bottle of Tilford ale. .no sign of that in our room."
The Ragged Robin
"Health can be, the environment can be, the food is general, taxi is more difficult."
The Crown Inn
"I booked two rooms for last Saturday night and a car breakdown on the way prevented me from honoring the booking on the day. The hotel was totally inflexible in refusing to give me credit for another occasion even though this is common practice. Said they would keep me informed if the rooms were resold but never did. Harsh and unsympathetic customer service. Avoid."
voco LYTHE HILL HOTEL & SPA by IHG
"Wonderful overnight stay. Lovely staff. Enjoyable dinner in hotel restaurant and also breakfast the following morning. Not too keen on indoor pools in hotels in general. Locker rooms need a bit of TLC. Would stay again"
Bed and Breakfast Dunsfold
"Having given the owner of this awful place plenty of time to issue a refund…several months in fact….I have taken to writing a bad review. This place was terrible… nobody here when we arrived, owner and his son finally turned up they were rude and had clearly been drinking!! Not an issue except the owner was driving! Shown to room it was filthy with stuff left from previous guests, dusty and needed updating. Breakfast only available to owners convenience and had to share a bathroom which is not great. Felt like we had moved into a house share rather than booking a relaxing night away! Have requested refund multiple times including in person before we left but didn’t argue our point as there were several of the sons mates there and we felt threatened! All emails ignored! Needless to say would never stay again and would advise anyone else to avoid!!"
