"The cleanliness was subpar, and the bedding didn't seem very clean. The room was tiny with outdated facilities, and there was a strange smell when I first walked in. The air conditioning didn't work well, and I was very cold in the middle of the night, with no extra blankets available. Due to a last-minute change in my itinerary, I didn't have time to compare options and booked it on the afternoon of my check-in. The room rate did not match the actual experience. The only upside was the private parking lot."

Mt Hay Retreat

"Mount Hay is the perfect place to press "pause". The surroundings are immaculatley kept, we even got some insider knowledge into some of the local nature. We fed the goats, chilled on our balcony to the sound of birdsong, swam on the refreshing pool (it was baking outside!). Enjoyed the aircon, when it got too hot for us Brits to handle! The local town had great shops and places to eat. The hosts were warm and welcoming and boy do they work hard at keeping everything looking so good. I thoroughly recommend this gorgeous slice of heaven."
