"Unfortunately, a huge disappointment – ​​how is this place rated 4 stars? We have never felt so uncomfortable upon arrival at a hotel. Our first thought was to leave immediately. The only truly positive aspect is the fantastic location with its beautiful view of Lake Garda, especially during breakfast and from the garden. The rest left us speechless. The entire hotel appears extremely outdated and neglected. There are old, dirty carpets everywhere – even in the elevator. The smell in the elevator upon our arrival was so overpowering that it almost made us nauseous. Our room was also in a shocking state: worn and damaged doors and furniture, damaged flooring, and an overall lack of maintenance. There were noticeable dark patches and traces of mold in the corners of the bathroom. The toilet flush was partially broken and, when it did work, flushed so forcefully that residue reached the bottom of the lid. We were glad we had brought our own disinfectant. The whirlpool was dirty and clearly out of order, even though we experienced temperatures of up to 40°C. Why such an area isn't maintained and open to guests is completely beyond our comprehension. The service was nowhere near what we would expect from a 4-star hotel. At times, we weren't even greeted. The "new bar" on the waterfront was particularly disappointing: we waited for about 40 minutes without being served, while several employees stood behind the bar, engrossed in their phones. Most disturbingly, it seems no one is genuinely concerned about the hotel's condition. The location is fantastic and could be the foundation for a beautiful hotel – unfortunately, this potential is completely wasted. Our conclusion: definitely not a 4-star experience, and sadly, we cannot recommend it."

Sky Pool Hotel Sole Garda ★★★★

"We spent a week at the Sky Pool Hotel Sole in Garda in the middle of May and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is modern and extremely clean, our bedding was changed every couple of days and the room was immaculate. The standard room is perhaps a little small but there was more than enough room to move around and we had a nice size balcony to sit out on. The best thing about this hotel is the staff who were efficient and extremely friendly. They soon got to know us and called us by our names which was a nice touch. I celebrated my birthday while we were there and I was presented with a gift of homemade biscuits at breakfast that morning. I was completely surprised by this and it was such a nice touch. We were half board and the food was delicious and ample and there were lots of Italian dishes. We also loved Garda town, it is not too busy, though this was mid May, but there was lots going on. The lake front has lots of restaurants and snack bars and is a nice walk from one end to the other. We will definitely return to Garda and hopefully to this hotel again. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday special."

"We stayed for 8 nights in a triple type room.yThere were one double bed and a single bed with one side against the wall.The room was fairly compact.The air conditioner was fine during the day,however during the night it did not cool.We complained several times but the problem was not solved. The bed mattress was soft and saging in the middle, which made it uncomfortable. The breakfast was basic with no cooked food like fried eggs.You are not allowed to take any breakfast food items to your room without a charge, which is unusual since we have stayed in several hotels in Italy without this rule. The hotel location is very good since it is situated on a quiet street but only 3 minutes walk to central bus station and the beach areas."

"This is a good hotel with a great swimming pool one of the best in Garda. The reception is sub standard with one person dealing with the front desk and taking calls from the rooms including room service. Possibly someone in the little office who makes no attempt to come and help with either checkin or questions. The pool staff are very mixed with one very friendly and nice but one young man rather unhelpful and vey keen to ignore one with only two couples to serve which takes technique! Very bad wifi generally and almost nonexistent on the third floor. T V very poor with no news channels in English/American! Positives - Clean, very well situated, very good breakfast, good size rooms with hanging space and plenty of draws. Some quite easy tweaks at not a great cost from the management would improve things considerably."
