"This is a quirky place, located a short distance out of the village, that seems to have been stuck in time and needs a little refurbishment. The negative is that, as you arrive, the aroma of the fryers hits you but once past reception, my room was large with excellent facilities and a wonderful view across the fields. The staff are extremely friendly but the food is very average. Breakfast was enormous and certainly set me up for 8 hours on the road."

"Such lovely restaurant but shame about the service and the food. Went for Sunday lunch the sprouts were undercooked as were the peas ( unable to eat either ) Certain members of the staff ( all young girls) were abrupt when asked for something and spent their time around the bar area while in the conservatory people were waiting for drinks etc."
