From the warm welcome and throughout our entire stay, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the staff and the accommodation. We especially appreciate how easy everything is made for families thanks to the many child-friendly facilities: kids’ club, pick-up service to and from the slopes, special dining arrangements, access to playrooms, and much more. "Our second year at the Montana and it was even better this time, we took extended family with us who simply loved the quality of the food and service. We are already looking at next year. Whilst the food is the standout in terms of quality ingredients, perfect presentation and superb service that is not to diminish the standard of the rest of the facilities, the Spa was the perfect haven for the no skiers of the group. Fabulous cocktails from Anna, attentive service from Laszlo and of course Lola the friendly house dog!!! Hard to find any fault at all but just to say something maybe a firmer pillow!!! (that's how good it is that can only pick up on this!) And the one thing who can not get elsewhere, location, under 20 metres to the ski lift, hire shop and lesson centre!!! Yet under 1 hour from Salzburg airport."

"This hotel has some amazingly courteous staff, from front desk to housekeepers, restaurant service, and everyone else. The food was plentiful and very good, and beverage prices appropriate. There is a terrific wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and steam rooms, and a great choice of things to do for the children. The one thing that diminished the overall experience is the building's decor. It's Disneyland (with less taste) not fitting the Alpine environment. When I saw "Schlosshotel", I expected a retrofitted ancient building not a fake castle with crystal chandeliers and kitschy decor. "

"It's sad that we felt ripped off like this. Upon arrival, we were politely asked to pay an additional cleaning fee for the room. They wouldn't give us the key otherwise. Even though the booking form clearly stated that this was the final price, we felt cheated and ripped off by the hotel. When we asked for an invoice for the extra charge, we received a slip of paper that was neither signed nor stamped, nor properly issued. It's simply appalling to rip off travelers like this!"

"The hotel is very modern. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was very varied and it was always replenished. A friendly staff. A dog bed was even put in the room for our dog and treats were available. Unfortunately we were only in transit for one night and couldn't use the wellness area. But we will certainly come back."

It’s simply impossible to get bored here – everything is thoughtfully designed so both parents and children can enjoy every moment. The hotel features a heated indoor pool, a heated indoor children’s pool, and a heated outdoor pool with breathtaking views. There are plenty of activities for young children, even for the very little ones. Children attending ski lessons are picked up directly from the hotel and safely returned to the hotel’s childcare center. Even inside the restaurant, there is a dedicated play area for children, allowing parents to relax while their kids are happily entertained. Simply put – a perfect hotel for families."

"Our family of 5 stayed at Montanara for the week at February half term. We'd randomly came across the hotel when looking 4 years ago, pre covid, and they had kindly kept our booking until we were finally able to go. It was well worth the wait. The food was simply amazing - we all loved it, kids included. Breakfast had so much choice and it was all delicious. Dinner was a wow every evening - stunning yummy dishes and great recomendations on the wine. I've never had such wonderful food for a whole week before. Coming home was hard! Our room/apartment was nice. In a perfect world we'd have chosen to be on the other side with a view of the slopes but that's being picky. Everyone working in the hotel was absolutely lovely, big smiles and a very warm welcome. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The hotel is perfectly located for skiing with the main Achter Jet station a few meters away, the ski rental place next door and the skischool office opposite. If we go back to Flachau then we'd love to stay here again."

"The penthouse is noisy, above the restaurant, and there's constant banging. The beds and duvets are filthy, the furniture is downright dirty, and the kitchen is also filthy and old! The bathroom is all-in-one, so no two bathrooms for 10+ people, so you have to make arrangements about who gets to shower when. There's no separate toilet, so it's also in the bathroom. The location relative to the slopes is excellent! The restaurant is good, and the staff are very friendly!"
