"We stayed for 2 days and really liked the hotel; it was quiet, cool, and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and varied, served in a beautiful dining area adorned with lush greenery. The coffee was also excellent. We could easily walk to the central market and the central park with its carousels. There's also a great, inexpensive cafe nearby (on the way to the Jami Mosque) where locals eat. There were a couple of minor issues, but we didn't pay much attention to them – for example, a small leak in the bathroom floor and a view of a wall from our window. The gym was operational, but the spa area was not."

"Although the hotel doesn't have an elevator, the staff were very helpful in assisting with your luggage, which showed excellent service. The hotel breakfast was also fantastic. It's a sister hotel to the one next door and shares a breakfast restaurant. The staff suggested that next time you could book a more comfortable room at the neighboring hotel."

"The hotel was excellent, with comfortable bedding, an elegant environment, and delicious breakfast. The location was also great, although it's 3-4 kilometers from the city center. However, you can easily take a taxi to the city center, and taxis are cheap. There's a large local supermarket just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, making shopping very convenient. During our stay, a flight crew from a certain airline also had a temporary break here."

"We stayed here for two nights on our tour of Uzbekistan. It’s a large hotel constructed in several blocks and we were across the courtyard and along a couple of paths with a number of steps and changes of level. There are steps up to the front of the hotel and we didn’t see a lift anywhere. The hotel placed white sheets over the carpet outside, presumably to catch the dirt from shoes but they were a trip hazard. There was some construction work going on and we heard drilling and clattering. The gardens are nice and there is a swimming pool although we had no time to use it so we don’t know how warm it might be. Our room was spacious and old fashioned but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had been partially updated. We were provided with a fridge and kettle but nothing to make a drink until we asked for cups and tea/coffee the following day. We ate at the restaurant on our first night and were pretty much the only diners. The restaurant is quite fancy and there’s a lovely terrace for warmer days. The food was okay and alcohol is served. Each block has a separate reception area where keys are given out. We were given a physical key whereas the other people in our group of six had key cards. When we returned to our room after dinner the key didn’t work (unlike the cards) and the receptionist was nowhere to be seen. We had to ring our guide for help and he tracked down the staff member who replaced the key with a keycard. A bit odd. Breakfast was good, with a choice of cooked items, sweet and savoury, breads and cakes, some fruit and cereals although we had to ask for certain items that had run out to be replenished. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to shops (including a shop selling alcohol where we bought wine that we were allowed to take to a restaurant with a private area for such consumption), restaurants, banks and ATMs. It was more than adequate for our needs in a busy itinerary, a “good” but not “very good”."

"I had a lovely stay at Merhaba Hotel. The location is very central and convenient, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was really enjoyable with a nice variety — from Russian blinchiks to Uzbek somsa in the morning. Overall, a great place to stay."

"Fergana is a great choice; it's very clean, the receptionist helped with our luggage, the young man spoke excellent English, and the breakfast was plentiful."

"After a four-night stay, this centrally located four-star hotel has its ups and downs. The lobby and breakfast room are very pleasing to the eye; the breakfast buffet doesn't live up to its star rating (no fruit juices or espresso, limited options, and slow service). The bedroom is extraordinary, with high-quality, modern, and comfortable furnishings. The spa is fantastic, although the outdoor pool was closed, and the indoor pool was so freezing that we both caught colds. Finally, the interior hallways leading to the rooms, with old carpeted floors, very poor lighting, old, ugly paint, and radiators, are a true "Soviet-era" hallway. Reception is attentive and friendly, although not geared toward international tourists (no city maps, no tour or excursion options). It's a reasonably priced option, perhaps the most luxurious and centrally located in Fergana."
