"After coming down from Mount Emei, we decided to try this Forest Grand Hotel at the foot of the mountain! Overall, the experience was quite good. Choosing a grand hotel with a rich history like this one definitely offers peace of mind! It's not far from the Baoguo Temple Tourist Center, which is convenient if you're heading to the Golden Summit. The grounds are also very large, with a Hongzhu Lake where you can take a stroll and enjoy the lake view! The hot springs are in a separate building, and there's a shuttle service for transportation, which was great for unwinding. Breakfast is served in the Restaurant on Building 5, and I recommend trying the tofu pudding! The service was also excellent, with a guest relations manager visiting to assist us. You can also spot peacocks displaying their feathers and sika deer near the entrance of Building 5! The rooms maintain the grand hotel style and are well-maintained, which is a big plus!"

"Hongzhushan is my top choice for a trip to Emei Mountain! The Zen Forest Residence is Building 7 of the hotel, enveloped by lush forests and scenic landscapes, offering wonderfully fresh air. My favorite part was the forest hot springs – there are many pools with comfortable water temperatures. A soak after hiking washes away all fatigue. The service was excellent, breakfast was plentiful, and the room was spotless. During my three-day stay, I was pleasantly surprised to catch two days of complimentary buffet dinners during the spring holiday, offering a great variety of dishes. It was a perfect holiday experience, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Emei!"

"A hotel that truly understands its guests. I rarely leave reviews for hotels or B&Bs I book, but this one deeply moved me. After staying here, we truly believe it's a hotel with warmth that understands its guests: 1. Unlike other high-end hotels, there's no arrogance here. The lobby space is dedicated to guests, and the front desk isn't large but perfectly functional. The lobby features a kids' play area, a relaxing tea room, and very affordable arcade games. It's also pet-friendly (for those who worry guests might find pets dirty, are humans really cleaner? Or less prone to illness?). 2. Most importantly, the environment is excellent – clean and hygienic, showing a real responsibility to guests. The facilities are comprehensive, and the water in the heated swimming pool is changed entirely every day. 3. The detailed design is fantastic. It features smart controls; when you select 'sleep mode,' the annoying light from the switch panel also turns off, helping you sleep better. And surprisingly, the electric kettle can keep water warm continuously!"

"This hotel is super close to Mount Emei, just a 10-minute walk to the 'Tianxia Mingshan' (Famous Mountain Under Heaven) archway. The service was excellent, and the room was spacious, clean, bright, and comfortable. Plus, it even has a hot spring bath! Overall, a fantastic stay."
BANYAN TREE MOUNT EMEI
"Perhaps it's a new Banyan Tree, but it's the worst one in China. I stayed for three days and couldn't connect to Wi-Fi either in or outside my room. They even made excuses, blaming the room type, even though I was in the main building. It took hours for the butler to reply to messages, making it pointless to even add them. Calling the restaurant for room service also went unanswered, forcing me to go back to the butler, who was still slow to respond – it was infuriating! Honestly, the room itself was okay, but personally, I felt it was the same layout as the VIP building at the national guesthouse next door, just smaller and with worse service. The hot spring water was just hot water. When it poured rain, there was no one to even hold an umbrella for me at the hotel entrance; I don't know what they were standing around thinking. And then, I couldn't even book a ride to the station; they said I booked too late, but when I left, I clearly saw several cars still waiting for passengers. Haha. The only good thing was the restaurant food, which was really delicious, except for the terrible breakfast that had nothing. Overall, I absolutely do not recommend it!!!"

Buffet breakfast had many many options. Customer service from Miss Xu (徐艳鹏) was excellent. I only speak a little bit of Chinese so communicating with her in English made my stay hassle free, as I got picked up from the railway station and received a few texts throughout to check if I needed anything."

"This hotel is perfect for a family trip with kids during the summer holidays. The grounds are lovely with lush vegetation and a winding small river. It's a large property, but the service is excellent. You can easily call a shuttle to get anywhere you need to go, which is super convenient. The children's activities are incredibly rich; after breakfast, it's pretty much non-stop attending them. You earn coins by participating in activities, which you can then redeem for gifts when you check out. My nine-year-old had a blast! The room decor is a bit outdated, as the hotel has been around for quite a few years, but the service more than makes up for it. Just a short distance outside the hotel is the Malu Bridge food street, offering many delicious and affordable local specialties! We'll definitely be back next time."

A special thank you to Hotel Manager Mr. Ma and my butler, Xiao Luo, for going above and beyond to make my stay so enjoyable. Mr. Ma was especially kind to take time out to personally accompany us on a lovely walk to Qingyin Pavilion. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a memorable experience. Every member of the resort team was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I also appreciated having a dedicated butler, Xiao Luo, who was always ready to assist with any request or need. When we arrived late, the team thoughtfully arranged a late lunch for us, which was a wonderful touch and very much appreciated. Beyond the excellent service, I absolutely loved the architecture and design of the resort. The setting, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere make Zoland a truly special place. Although my stay was short, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and left with very fond memories. Thank you to the entire Zoland team for making our stay so special. I will definitely return if I have the opportunity."

We're heading to Mount Emei tomorrow, so we're really happy with our stay! The facilities are new, and the front desk service is excellent!"

"Rooms on the mountain top – one has to understand the operational costs, but I still feel the premium isn't that high. The hotel is very thoughtful, and the service attitude is excellent. Hot water, cleanliness, and various reminders are all spot-on, and food is served quickly. They also offer coat rentals, which are much cheaper than buying them further down the mountain. The mini-mart has everything you could need, so there's no need to bring too much up with you; just bring your good mood!"
