"All we have to saw is wow…true hidden gem. Just returning from a one night stay (our first time away from our young children) in over three years. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, the facilities at button lodge are top notch even though we did not use the swimming pool and spa we were shown around and this can be booked exclusively for your party which I thought was a lovely thoughtful touch. The bothy really is luxury and the hosts have definitely thought of everything even the small finer details- coffee machine, robes, free mini bar. The lodge is situated in its own private surroundings making it the perfect get away couples retreat…well we thought so anyway. The hot tub was a dream gazing out to the stars at night. Breakfast was 10/10 and the staff were friendly approachable. Would definately recommend a stay here…we will be returning soon. Thanks guys "

The Highfield House

"We visited from Belgium. Hotel is beautifully decorated inside, the location is quiet and secluded even though its just off a road. We had the 1640 room which was very impressive. A four- poster bed, beautiful bay window, bath in the room and a separate shower. Loved the wallpaper. Gowns, tea, coffee, water and biscuits in the larder just outside the room. The lights took some working out. Only suggestion I would make is a better light around the basin. Bed was big and very comfortable. We had booked the hibernation package which is great value and we would book it again. 3 course meal included, we had hake and it was delicious. Breakfast cooked to order to lower food waste (asked on arrival) was very good. Accommodated my gluten free bread request. Staff very nice and friendly. I think the hotel and restaurant are run by separate people, so when booking check restaurant is open in the evening as I noticed other reviews commenting about this. Spa treatments available from another person but we didn't have time. This is a gem in Driffield, highly recommend staying. Gardens are beautiful too."
