"My fiancé and I stayed at The Hermitage Inn this past weekend while touring wedding venues, and we instantly fell in love with this beautiful property. Mary Lou, the owner, personally gave us our tour, and her passion and attention to detail were incredible. We loved the inn so much that we decided to upgrade our plans from an elopement to a small wedding here. Our stay in the Coldbrook King room exceeded our expectations! The fireplace, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities made it the perfect getaway. Dinner at The Birches Dining Room was amazing and gave us a wonderful preview of what our wedding reception will be like. The Hermitage Inn is truly magical, and we cannot wait to celebrate our special day here!"

"We accidentally ended up here, this Inn was not in our original plans, BUT I must say it was a very big blessing and we were so glad we did. The peace at this Inn was immeasurable and some of the views from this location are breathtaking. The view from our room was absolutely lovely and we very much enjoyed our time while we were there. Additionally, the owners were very welcoming and made you feel valued as a guest. The Inn was also very … clean and that is something I personally value when staying somewhere."

"The hotel is centrally located in the middle of Dover VT. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Plus, it’s located right in the center of skying area, lots to do around. Our room was on the second floor, very simple, nothing fancy but big and very clean. Nice balcony overlooking the hotel grounds and mountains. Continental breakfast was simple not many choices. It could be so much nicer with just simple adjustments and better presentation. Breakfast just looked like an afterthought not much effort on this area. Communication with the staff was very clear and precise. You check in yourself, there is no reception, just go into your rooms. Plenty of signs and information are available in the public area of the hotel. Looking for a simple economic stay, this will be fine."

"as a Select Registry property, I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed. Ariane and Scott were the perfect hosts. The Garden Suite was AMAZING, with every little touch you could think of. The breakfasts were wonderful--great food (cooked by our host) and watching the birds as we ate. This inn is a true gem!"
