"Beautiful area. Room with a beautiful view of the Rance and Saint Malo. Very nice home ! Excellent service! We were there for my partner's birthday and the hotel had the sweet attention of putting a bottle of champagne with a case with some gifts. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but we were able to take advantage of their brasserie which serves good plates to share. We also took advantage of the hammam and the heated outdoor swimming pool. We recommend !"

"This hotel was a delightful surprise, and the nicest hotel I stayed in on my trip to Brittany. It's a sprawling hotel right next to the beach, with special Beach access by its own elevator. One of the best parts about this room was the huge balcony that came attached to my room. It was a lovely place to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and watch the colors of the sky. The hotel room itself was not huge but it was very clean and modern, with a very comfortable bed and everything I could need. There was plenty of light from large windows and the balcony. It was an extremely comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also large with lots of local specialty pastries to try. The staff were really helpful and there to answer any questions you have. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"We have just checked out of this gorgeous facility and could not have had a more enjoyable time. We are traveling with the Backroads group and this proves to be one of our favorite stops. The waterfront location and proximity to shops and restaurants is just perfect. Attention to detail at the hotel is superb. We did not have any issues, but if we had, I’m rather confident they would have been resolved immediately. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. I did use the gym(very small, but adequate) and spa. Mary gave a fabulous massage and I found the spa adequate, but not quite of the standard of the rest of the grandiose hotel. We loved the bar and breakfasts and dinner at Le George V was excellent. We would absolutely return again."

"We had an excellent stay at Didier Meril. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, it was a very pleasant stay. The staff at the front desk were all so welcoming and happy to help. The efficient cleaning staff, too, were patient and friendly. Entering our room on the top floor, we were astonished at the breathtaking view over the bay; what a view to wake up to every morning! But also the clear shower cube and wonderful soaking tub were wonderful surprises. The room was clean, very nicely appointed, and the bed comfortable. The hotel is out of the fray of the touristic areas but is a short beautiful walk to downtown. There is also a great little boulangerie across the street, and an outdoor restaurant on the beach below. Our stay in Dinard was made even more memorable thanks to Didier Meril and we will gladly recommend it."

"Memorable stay! We spent only one night there from March 9 to 10 with my partner, the starred meal included and breakfast too. An impeccable and very friendly welcome. We had a presentation of the place as well as the history of the hotel. A very comfortable room with a magnificent view, a fairly spacious terrace and a very pleasant bathroom. The meal was wonderful, no false notes for the flavors, quality service, nothing to say! The maids redid the room during our meal, leaving us fruit jellies, in short we were pampered by all the staff from start to finish! Breakfast was a real pleasure with quality products, nothing better to start a day! Thanks again to the whole team for this timeless stay which will be unforgettable :)"

"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room looked over the bay, and had a balcony with table, chairs and a sun lounger. The beds were very comfortable with really good quality bedlinen, very soft and smooth, and the housekeeping was excellent. Everything was very clean, and the linen changed regularly. We also had a bath, with shower above. So it was very comfortable. The location is excellent, convenient for walks, restaurants and shops and the staff were friendly. Considering there is no chef, breakfast offered a good choice. We would definitely stay again. "

"The room was spacious, clean, and tidy; it was considered large for its size in Europe, and it even had a balcony. The restaurant was also large and spacious, exuding the luxury of a four-star hotel, with floor-to-ceiling windows that were bright and airy, offering a good visual experience. Located at a few intersections along the street, it's right next to the sea, just a two- or three-minute walk away for a stroll and a view of the ocean. The only drawback was that there was no hot water for the shower on the first night, and the front desk couldn't get anyone to fix it, so I had to take a cold shower. Ctrip (the travel agency) was helpful in contacting the front desk, and hot water was finally available the next afternoon, supposedly due to a system malfunction (I couldn't understand this; I've never encountered anything like it before, and it was quite frustrating). They refunded 300 yuan of the first night's room rate after I requested a partial refund. The sink was too high, soaking my clothes. Water seeped from the edge of the sink onto the wooden countertop, requiring me to constantly wipe away the seeping water with a towel when washing my hands, face, or clothes. The sink stopper wasn't springy; I had to pry it off by hand to drain the water, and the sink was covered in rust, which was unpleasant to look at. As someone who is very clean and has OCD, I couldn't stand it, indicating that the hotel doesn't prioritize basic infrastructure. I'm a clean freak, and if the rust and the leaking sink aren't fixed, I won't stay here again. The hot water service was also infuriatingly slow. I didn't get to wash my hair; I was planning to take a hot shower to relax and sleep after a tiring trip, but I ended up taking a cold shower instead."

"My husband and I took a two vacation along the Normandy coast. Our last night was in Dinard and we stayed at this hotel. Let me start by saying the restaurant was amazing, the food and service so good. The staff are all very friendly and hard-working and accommodating. The reason I gave the low score is because I had a terrible night sleep. In Europe hotel owners insist on keeping the air conditioning at around 72 to 73° Fahrenheit which is fine for the daytime but it’s torture at night. and even then it’s only a trickle of cold air coming out. I know the air conditioning programmed this way and hotel employees have to pretend like they don’t know how to turn it down but it’s awful. If you want Americans to spend their money here you gotta turn the AC down to 68°F at least at night. During the day we don’t need it. I’m not gonna stay at this hotel again and I’m not gonna recommend it either for this reason."
