"We had a wonderful experience at The Cove. From the start, the customer service was exceptional. Kim gave us a warm and friendly welcome, followed by an informative tour of the property. All the staff were delightful; helpful, approachable, really cheerful. The property itself was perfectly clean, well-maintained, and set in a stunning location. The grounds were immaculate, with beautiful walks offering spectacular views. Spotting the cute penguins was a total bonus! Directions were clear and easy to follow, making The Cove easy to find. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, with a cosy bed that ensured a restful stay. We also loved what Kim and Bruce are doing with the extensions to the property. It’s exciting to see how much care and thought they’re putting into enhancing the experience for their guests. The Christmas gift bag was a lovely surprise; generous, and delicious. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend The Cove for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting."

"We had a wonderful (albeit short) stay in this historic home. The huge master bedroom not only had more space than any other bedroom we've stayed at but also has this glorious view from the bed - closer if you go onto the balcony. Sophie's welcome was very friendly as were the 3 dogs - Rogue in particular wanted & appreciated lots of attention. Pre-dinner drinks in the amazing drawing room was a great start to the beautiful dinner in the ornate, furnished-in-style dining room. We only had time for a brief look at the library and the room containing much historic detail. The bedroom proved very comfortable, providing us with a restful night. In the morning, back to the dining room for a very nice breakfast. For walks, we only had time for the 45 minute return trail - there's a chance to see penguins at the right time of year - I think I saw just one. We really needed a longer stay to appreciate this unique and lovely home and the many available walks. Love to return."

Bev and Martin are wonderful hosts, the breakfasts are divine, and the atmosphere is charming and comfortable, with lovely complimentary extras like home-baked cookies and port in the evenings. We loved heading off on the walking paths to see the beautiful Hawley and Shearwater beaches, and the wooden fishing boats at Port Sorell – for keen photographers, there are photo opportunities everywhere!"

"We were so looking forward to staying in a tiny house as we live off grid ourselves and were interested to see how others do it. Unfortunately we were disappointed to say the least. We stayed at Colonial Blue. The exterior of the tiny house looked quite run down and the cottage garden was very overgrown and unkempt. We were aware that the bathroom was in a separate tiny house but didn't realise that you had to go down several stairs, along a gravel path and then up more stairs to the bathroom. Made night time trips to the loo awkward to say the least. There was also quite an odour coming from the loo. We are used to composting toilets and the ones we use do not smell!! The bathroom itself was lovely but no bathrobes as advertised on the website. Disappointed that the bed wasn't in the loft area as that would have given more room inside. Also a microwave would be a nice addition for heating up takeaways or prepared food. Kitchen was well stocked but no chopping board! The outside furniture was not sturdy and we had to be careful sitting on the chairs as they felt like they were going to give way at any moment. All in all we had a very disappointing experience considering all the wonderful reviews I read before I booked. For what was offered I felt it was overpriced."

"We stayed here for the first two nights of our Tasmania trip. The environment and service were excellent. John was very friendly and welcoming, and he introduced us to the surroundings of the accommodation. It was a pity that we arrived a bit late on the first night and missed the beautiful sunset, and it rained the next day. But overall, we were still very happy with our stay and not disappointed at all."
