Hotel Azul de la Plaza by Chat Noir ★★★
"A sweet deal for $25/night in mid July 2026. Great customer service, good location, and some of the staff speak English. The rooms were mostly comfortable even for a tall person. Decent hot water and pressure in the showers (but slow and sometimes clogged drainage), televisions in the rooms that don't work as intended, reliable wifi albeit slow, nice views from the windows, free coffee water and tea, broken/malfunctioning lamps and lights in the rooms. The hotel sits on one end of a public square with just about everything you'd need on a daily basis within walking distance."
Four Points by Sheraton Cuenca ★★★★
"Very good, will come next time"
Casa de las Rosas ★★★
"Our stay at La Casa de las Rosas was simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome with their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, and every corner of the place feels warm and inviting. You can tell there's a lot of care behind everything they do. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cuenca. A peaceful, charming experience that we’d love to repeat. Thank you for making our stay so special!"
Oro Verde Cuenca ★★★★
"The room is very big. Compared to the Sheraton at the same price, I still recommend the Sheraton. The breakfast is very rich. There is a Chinese restaurant diagonally opposite that you can try. The environment is good and the transportation is convenient."
Mansion Alcazar ★★★★
"The overall environment of the hotel is quite good. But the room was very small and very forced, there was no air conditioning, it was cold, and I lived on the second floor 4 times in the morning and evening to try to take a bath, but there was hot water once. The room can be said to have no sound insulation, Wifi is not so easy to use, often stuck and disconnected. Although the decoration looks good, the facilities experience is not very good, just so-so, the overall experience is generally biased."
TRYP by Wyndham Cuenca Zahir ★★★★
"The price is very expensive and the breakfast is average, not worth the price"
Hotel Boutique la Ronda by Chat Noir ★★
"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCIA. CINICOS, INFORMALES y DESHONESTOS."
Santa Lucia House - Forum ★★★★
"All right. Nice hotel and very well located. Comfortable hotel near the center. Attention can be better and faster."
Hotel Presidente by Nass ★★★
"The breakfast coffee was excellent. The view from the room is very nice; however, the breakfast food was all cold: eggs, sausages, ham; also, the receptionist was very sick and wasn't wearing a mask, there were about four staff members and no one helped with luggage or provided any services; they couldn't even provide the necessary or complete information, and to top it all off, the hotel supposedly offers parking, but when we went, they sent us to an external garage where guests have to pay $5 per night."

Hotel Boutique Los Balcones
"A historic building. The building is charming with a number of original features. The room had a french balcony. I was afraid that the street noise would bother me but it did not. The balcony has two sets of glass doors and a solid wooden door. The floor do squeak which is part of the charm I suppose. The bathroom has a large shower, a magnifying mirror and hairdryer. There is a restaurant that I did not try. The staff speaks good English and was helpful in giving directions. The only possible issue is that it is three floors and there is no elevator. There are rooms on the main level. I was given assistance with may luggage when I checked in and when I left."
SÁNCHEZ Hotel & Spa by Chat Noir
Hotel Pegasus
"The manager Fredrick is the nice young man that will help you with all kinds of problems that might occur in Cuenca. He is super dedicated to his job and he is always there. Hard working and friendly. The hotel is a colonial mansion with all the modern amenities. No need for electronics to alter the nostalgic look and feel. I told Fredric that I will go back he told me it will be peak so call ahead. Looks like I won’t be able to I’m sorry."

Hotel Chat Noir Cuenca
"We made reservations months in advance at " Chat Noir Hotel Cuenca " or "Hotel del Parque Calderon by chat noir" on Luis Cordero. The taxi driver had difficulty in locating it with this name ambiguity. Their signage is also different. When we arrived early that day they claimed there was no reservation in our name. When we produced the paperwork they apologized, said they were already full, and referred us to a nearby establishment. Several days later we went back to just see the rooms and they refused and were very " difficult ""
Hotel Italia Cuenca - Tranvia Centro & Aeropuerto
"Super nice front desk staff. Great TV channels. Awesome breakfast included tigrillo! Great location, right near the bus station and easy walk into town. Near great Chinese food! Airport view from my room, with exciting landing planes at night. This hotel is great!!"
