Comrie Hotel

Comrie Hotel

📍 Drummond Street, Comrie
★★★ 9.2 (29 reviews)

"A great hotel with a friendly and welcoming owner. Good points - Room is clean and has cute complimentary shampoo/bodywash. Breakfast was superb. Lovely fresh fruit and yogurts followed by a very tasty scottish breakfast. June the owner was so welcoming and friendly and attentive to us. A great wee hotel. Not so good points - Our room was a wee bit tired in the fact the carpet could be doing with being replaced as it is well worn. Mattress was a was too soft for my liking. Ultimately a smashing find in Comrie and will make the effort to return."

"We enjoyed our stayed as a family but the service and food in the buffet style restaurant at night was very poor as food was cold and we were finished eating before we received our drinks. We eventually managed to speak to a manager about it. However, we have stayed before and ate in other restaurants and they were good. Upgrades to winter garden bar were nice but again service for drinks very slow. Overall a 6.5/10 stay."

Leven House Bed and Breakfast

Leven House Bed and Breakfast

📍 Comrie Road, Crieff
★★★ 9.5 (32 reviews)

"We had a comfortable 2-day stay in this beautiful house and enjoyed a good hot breakfast each morning. Being able to sit in the garden with fabulous views across to the distant mountains was a bonus, as we had warm, sunny days. The owners are lovely people, helpful and friendly with advice if you need it on where to eat and places to see. The only downside for us was the size of the room which was a small double with no drawers or wardrobe (just 4 large hooks on the wall) so we were living out of the suitcase for the couple of days we were there. It wasn't a major issue, but in hindsight, I would have a bigger room next time. The location was very good, a 3 minute walk into the centre of Crieff to some great restaurants. Our favourite was Craobh (pronounced 'kroov') and also Delivino."

"Stayed in one of the Apartments, perfect, everything was there that you would need. Very comfortable bed, best sleep we’ve had in a hotel in years. Breakfast baskets, brilliant. We had a meal there on our first night. Food was amazing, atmosphere brilliant. Made us feel right at home. Would recommend this hotel for staying and for food 💯. Highly recommend"

The Royal Hotel

The Royal Hotel

📍 Melville Square, Comrie
★★★ 9.1 (72 reviews)

"The hotel is welcoming and has a certain charm, staff very professional and good at their jobs, also very friendly. The room is well proportioned but with very little storage - not an issue for us as this was just an overnight stay. Sadly with these styles of rooms and furniture, cleanliness can be an issue as there are so many nooks and crannies and on closer inspection many areas have been missed or not deep cleaned. This was the same for the bathroom (just basic things like on top of the soap holders etc - nothing to affect the stay). Outwith the control of the hotel, late guests were very noisy and kept us up, the rooms are not soundproof at all and you can also hear water flushing and floorboards moving. We enjoyed a drink at the bar with some games - a nice touch, had a lovely meal in the (slightly cold) restaurant and breakfast was delicious and hearty. The location in Comrie cannot be more central - near to a number of cafes and quaint shops. I’m not sure the stay was quite worth what we paid for the night but it was at the end of the holiday season and the staff made up for any shortfalls."

Leven House Bed and Breakfast ★★★
"March 2025 Third visit, would return again I have stayed here before, this time as a couple with my wife, on a trip for our wedding anniversary, We were made welcome straight away by Duncan and Nicola. Leven House is situated just off the main town centre on the A85, and is a short walk from all the town bars and restaurants Our room had been made up as a double, the en-suite included a powerful shower over a bath for those needing a soak after a busy day. There was ample storage and hanging space for clothes. Food at breakfast is freshly prepared to order by Duncan, your let him know what you want the night before, and chose a time so that he does not get overwhelmed with orders all at the same time. There is a private car park to the rear of the house, this is accessed by 31 steps [ we counted !] which may be dificult for people with mobility issues. Outside the house on the road are parking bays which are charged for by the local council during the day, but are free between 18.00 and 06.00 The only mark down is the one for location and is very minor. Leven House is situated just off the town centre so handy for all amenities. However the rooms at the front of the house overlook the main A85 road which can be a bit noisy at times if you are a light sleeper. However the rooms at the front have a wonderful view. The house is clean, tidy and well presented and all staff are courteous and helpful, I would recommend Leven House to all and would definitely return to Crieff and Leven House."

Coorie Inn Restaurant and Rooms ★★★★
"I am quite critical of Scottish hospitality (I think we are well below par in comparison to other nations however this is a genuinely beautiful venue in a lovely wee village. The Coorie Inn has been furnished and decorated to a very high standard and is absolutely immaculate in every corner. There is a warm welcome as soon as you arrive in the door. No sticky tables or worn carpets here! The owners have taken alot of care in creating a stunning restaurant and bar. The food is of a very high standard and very well presented. I would caution those who are expecting a country inn type menu to perhaps change their expectations, the menu is largely small, well crafted portions which wouldn't look out of place in any high-end place. This doesn't ruin any family-orientated potential as our needy 2 year old daughter was very well catered for! I think a hallmark of a good restaurant is a limited menu as it places a firm focus on quality. The Coorie Inn certainly does that however a few Inn-style classics to pair up with the excellent options currently on the menu I think would make this place an absolute winner (especially in winter!) and based on what we eperienced it would be great to see the chef place his/her modern twist on some traditional fayre. As it stands, the place is somewhere I think we will recommend to others as a "special occasion" type of restaurant as it is on the pricey side (and I hope that isn't taken as a criticism). That said we are keen to try their Sunday options and will return for that at some point."
