"We recently spent several nights at The Isolano Cres and left with mixed feelings. Let me start by saying that this is a beautiful hotel. The architecture, the location, the pool area and the overall atmosphere are exactly what you would expect from a luxury property. The staff were always friendly and polite, and whenever we pointed something out, they genuinely tried to help. The reason I’m writing this review is not because of one bad experience. Mistakes happen in every hotel. What disappointed us was that the same type of issue kept repeating itself throughout our stay: a lack of consistency. The restaurant was probably the best example. On several occasions, the dishes we received simply didn’t match the menu descriptions. We ordered sea bass that was supposed to come with specific side dishes, but it arrived differently. When we asked about the missing potatoes the following day, we were told guests are supposed to choose between two different side options, even though this wasn’t explained when ordering and wasn’t mentioned on the menu. At breakfast, I ordered the quinoa salad and even asked the waiter about the ingredients because I don’t eat peppers or cucumber. He explained which vegetables were included and I specifically asked for no peppers. The salad that arrived was different from both his description and the menu – several advertised ingredients were missing, while peppers were included despite my request. Another evening we ordered fried calamari. The menu only mentioned calamari with salsa verde, so we ordered a side of baby potatoes as well. When the food arrived, the calamari already came with fries. At first we were told that it was written on the menu. After checking, the waiter came back, apologised and admitted that we were right. He explained that the kitchen had changed the dish but the menus had not yet been updated. We appreciated the apology and the fact that they removed the extra side dish from the bill, but it was yet another example of information not matching reality. The same pattern appeared outside the restaurant as well. There was a daily 20% promotion on Spritz drinks, but the discount was never applied automatically. We only discovered it after noticing a promotional sign ourselves. The hotel acknowledged the mistake and offered to deduct one day of parking (€20) as compensation. Surprisingly, the very next day the Spritz discount was once again not applied to our order. Then, during check-out, the agreed parking deduction wasn’t reflected on the bill either. One staff member had no idea what we were referring to until another colleague confirmed the agreement. We were then told the €20 would be refunded to our credit card within three days. It has now been more than a week since our stay, and the refund still hasn’t been processed. Even smaller things reflected the same issue. Gym towels were handled differently depending on which staff member we asked. Check-in was delayed beyond the official time"

"It's clean, easy to reach, a very simple but cute room. (We had room 4) During the night it was really very quiet, air condition worked fine. The dryer and the fridge were outside the room but we were alone on the floor, so it was fine. Only the shower should have a possibility (hanging shelve or so?) to put shampoo/shower gel on it and the shower head should be fixed, as it falls of very easily. The parking was available, it's just a 3-5 min walk. The owners were easy to reach via phone, but except for the code of the safe and introduction where to find the parking slot, we didn't need anything and there was no further contact which we could rate. It was worth the price."
