IKON By Annapoorna

Coimbatore|1.2km from downtown
The hotel is in a great location. Reservation went well. It was in the system and the room was allocated immediately. There are few issues though. Here is one by one, in detail. 1. I use my own ayurvedic soap. There is absolutely no place to keep the soap in the shower room, other than the floor. Felt like they are forcing me to use only their soap in the dispenser. At last I had to bring the chair, keep it outside the shower door, keep the soap on it, open the door and take the soap when I need it and use it. Highly inconvenient. This is the first hotel where I faced with this problem. It is easy to fix and hope they will take care of it. 2. When Mike Tyson was interviewed when he was in Jail on what he wants to do first as soon as he gets out of jail, he said ” I want to take a bath”. In the jail he could take only a shower. That was the case in this star hotel too. There is no bucket or mug or a water sprout. Maintenance team did provide me with a bucket/pail and a mug. Thanks a lot for that. Still the choice was overhead shower or hand shower. I could drop the hand shower into the bucket to fill it up to take bath with the mug. Inconvenient. 3. I carry my own water bottle to reduce plastic waste. IKON by Annapoorna is willing to give me as ***y 1/2L plastic water bottles as I need without any charge, but unwilling to fill my water bottle. I called room service to get warm water in a jar or in my bottle. They refused and asked me to contact maintenance. Called maintenance and the maintenance gentle*** brought ***y water bottles and asked me to heat it using the kettle in the room and pour it into my bottle. Defeats my purpose as I have to open the plastic bottles. He said I can go to first floor hotel and ask them. Went there. Couple of servers asked me to ask some other server. At last one server was kind enough to fill my 1L water bottle. I tipped him more than two 1/2L bottles worth as I found one person that day who knows little bit of customer service. Later a maintenance person did say they have a water dispenser in their backroom for their use. They made me to talk to 5 people and run around for more than an hour to save 2 plastic bottles. How much would it cost for Annapoorna to provide a water dispensing station per floor or one in the whole property to start with? They charge more than Rs 4000 per night per room. I am sure more and more people will carry their water bottles to save on plastic. Honestly, hope ***agement does not have people who insist on ”my way or highway”(water in plastic bottles only, showers only, our soap only etc) or political ideologues who force their thoughts and ways on all their customers also. 4. They have centralized A/C and centralized fire extinguishers which are great. There is a vent right about the work table. When the A/C was running I could not sit there and work. This may be difficult to fix. Also I could not see a remote for the A/C. I had to get up and go to the wall to reduce the airflow o

Overall a great experience at this hotel which is ideally placed in the city. Especially one of the staff, Kapildev was very humble in serving us all the required dishes with patience. Great hospitality shown by him and the others at this hotel.

The hotel is pretty good! The rooms are spacious and bright, the beds are dry, and the hygiene is good! Good service attitude! There is only one restaurant with fewer choices of dishes. In addition, don’t go to the surrounding chin chin and the casade Chinese restaurants. There are some localized Chinese dishes in India, which are really awful. Is there anything? !

Hotel chain, economy, Samsung bar, rooms are uniformly arranged, not bad. The breakfast was general and allowed them to make quiche. There is a waiter named Trishna who can speak a few Chinese words. The bath water is sometimes cold and hot. No toiletries and slippers. Put a pair of chopsticks. Except for five stars, all Indian hotels do not have toiletries. Including five stars, all Indian hotels do not have plastic slippers. The surrounding environment is average. Go out and turn left across the road. There is a larger restaurant on the right. Chicken and noodles are not bad. When you go out, turn right 500 meters and there is an alley to go in. There is a restaurant My place, which is not bad. Overall, India's per capita income is much lower than China, but the price of food and beverage is even higher than China!

Very nice, Indian hotel. The name means Lakshmi Goddess Hotel. It has a history of nearly 30 years, but the maintenance work is very good. There is a dedicated waiter on each floor and there is free The holy ash has the same smell and texture as the isha, and there is smog mosquito repellent in the afternoon. It is very good in health, so it feels very comfortable. There are actually three Bhagavadhas in the room. It feels very old, and the pages are yellow. Already. It's a pity that there is no breakfast, but there is a very good shop next to it. There are noodles in the shop. Located in the bustling area of Coimbatore, I lived in four nearby stores, this is the most cost-effective, if you want to experience the authentic Indian hotel, this one should be a good choice.
Treebo Trend Ess Grande

The Treebo Trend Ess Grande Hotel at Coimbatore is located very near (about 500m distance) to Gandhipuram Central Bus Station and Gandhipuram Town Bus station. We as couple, stayed for four nights at this property, which was booked directly through Treebo during August 2022. The room allotted was not so spacios but neat, clean and comfortable. The service Staff is courteous. Free Breakfast buffet spread was hygienic, tasty, mainly south Indian type with changed menu everyday, served between 8 AM to 10 AM at its own restaurant. Thanks Team Treebo....
