Cheap Hotels in Riga

"The front desk team is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and spacious. Due to a spontaneous extension, I moved to a room in the annex, which I liked even better. This second room was also cleaner. Although there's no elevator in the annex, I would try to get a room there on my next visit. The breakfast at the restaurant across the street is ample, but there are many other options nearby that I would prefer. I'd happily come back again."

"Armando at check in was excellent - polite, professional, quick, and very helpful. All the staff in the hotel were very well trained. Breakfast was superb - such a good variety of food. The spa is nice as well. My room was well decorated and very comfortable. The location is lovely right next to the park and a few minutes walk to the old town. Highly recommended"

"The room was clean and well located, approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the heart of the city centre. The only negative was that the air conditioning/heating was not working during my stay, but the receptionist gave me an electric heater which mostly made up for it. Considering the temperature was -15° during my stay, I was not too cold in my room."

"✅ clean ✅ spacious room ✅ friendly staff ✅ tram station nearby hotel ✅ within 2km from Riga Bus Station ✅ mini market just right next to the hotel ✅ very good water heating system for this price, we couldn’t asked for more! highly recommended for traveller who seeking for good accommodation in Riga ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"We only ate dinner once in the hotel.     The menu obviously thought itself very special; the food was nice, but not quite as excellent as we’d hoped.    And it was a bit overpriced.    We did find some tastier food in restaurants elsewhere in the town.   But breakfast was all very good.     Staff extremely friendly and helpful.  "

"Perhaps ten years ago, this would have been considered a four-star hotel, but nowadays the facilities feel quite outdated and no longer live up to that standard. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, and the room was clean. The only downside was that the overall atmosphere felt a bit dark and claustrophobic."

"I had a very good experience staying at this hotel. The location is great, with tram and bus stops nearby, making it easy to get around the city. Taxis were also very easy to find whenever needed. The room was comfortable and clean, and the overall stay felt smooth and hassle-free. A good option if you want convenient transport access and a comfortable stay in Riga."

"Had a lovely stay at this hotel for two nights in November 2025 together with my dog, a Border Collie. We were received warmly and treated kindly by the staff throughout our stay. Great location, too. Would definitely book again! :)"

"Beautifully restored heritage building in the center of old Riga. The classic feature of the original architecture have been preserved and complimented with a modern interior design with clean Nordic style. Rooms have a foldout sofa bed, great for families. Breakfast is simple but high quality ingredients and attentive staff. Recommend the fresh croissants and salmon and raspberry smoothies. Location in center of old town on a charming street just close enough to great restaurants and bars but quiet enough to get a good sleep."

"I stayed at Wellton Riga Hotel & Spa for two nights. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is within walking distance of the Old Town, shopping areas, restaurants and cafés, and it is also very easy to reach from Riga Airport by bus. The room itself was generally clean, but the carpet had several strange stains, which gave a poor first impression. Before my arrival, I specifically requested a quiet room, but unfortunately this request was not taken into consideration at all. My room was located right next to the elevators, so I could hear guests coming and going throughout the day and evening. The room was also noisy because of traffic outside, and there is a backpackers' pub below the hotel where people were partying loudly late into the night. If you are a light sleeper, I would strongly recommend requesting a room away from the elevators and the street. The staff were polite enough, but I often felt they were rather dismissive and tended to argue instead of listening when concerns were raised. The customer service did not feel particularly welcoming. The breakfast offered a large selection, but most of it consisted of sweet pastries, cakes and sugary items. I was hoping for more fresh and healthy options. Although the variety looked impressive at first glance, I found the breakfast disappointing overall. In my opinion, the hotel does not quite meet the standard I would expect from a four-star hotel. The excellent location is definitely its strongest point, but the noise, breakfast and customer service made the overall experience less enjoyable."
