Cheap Hotels in Luxembourg City

"Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and hot/cold water all the time, staff generally friendly, clean and tidy and fairly new hotel, location just a wee bit out of the town but with the free transport, it's still quite good with the value/cost we booked the hotel, indoor as well as outdoor seating area, great for nice weather, average breakfast. Amazing great pressure shower, firm bed but with super soft pillows just not what we like channel on television not working at all which was big shame but we were there only two nights so not bothered."

"Getting here from the airport is easy by bus, and from the city center, you can take a tram or bus. We arrived at night and surprisingly, I couldn't find the lobby right away – it's actually combined with the most prominent restaurant. The room was spacious and the facilities were new, with air conditioning. Several Novotel hotels I've stayed at in Europe seem to use Rituals bath products. Although there's no free bottled water, there's a water dispenser on each floor by the elevators, which even offers sparkling water. The sparkling water was incredibly bubbly and ice-cold, which was really refreshing. Breakfast is on the first floor, offering a standard European spread. The dairy products were decent, but the bread was just okay, and the air conditioning was set too cold."

"You can see it by turning left out of the airport. Nohan is to the right. Both are very close. To get to Ibis, you just cross the parking lot. I don't know why, but when I booked on Trip.com, it specifically said there was no bathroom, but there actually was! The room wasn't big, but it was very comfortable."

"The hotel is conveniently located right next to a bus terminal, making getting around very easy. The room was spacious enough and well-equipped, with complimentary drinking water. The breakfast was also excellent. The only downside was that there was no heating in the room on the night we stayed. When we called the front desk, they informed us that the entire hotel's air conditioning system was broken and under repair, so the room was quite cold that night."

"This is a good hotel right by the central train station and not too far away from the main sights of Luxembourg City. Getting around the city is easy with frequent teams, busses and trains from the nearby station and all public transport is free within the country! The room was good and the beds/pillow were comfy. The room is a bit small but we had enough space to put our things including some space under the bed for our bags. They had a small table in the room with a chair, some shelving and a pretty big TV for the room size. The bathroom was good too with some decent shower products and while most of the room and bathroom appeared clean they seemed to be having some issues with the shower ceiling and that could use some attention. We picked this hotel for the location and the affordable breakfast option because we only had a day to explore Luxembourg and felt the hotel breakfast would be a good start to our day. The breakfast had a nice selection of breads including a seasonal pastry, a pancake machine, cereals, yoghurt and some nice deli meats and cheeses. The juice and coffee machine were also pretty good and they had some to go cups for the tea/coffee. The location of the hotel is maybe not the best for families because it is surrounded by gentleman's clubs and possibly the red light area of Luxembourg. We didn't see anything too bad but would exercise a degree of caution in this area. There are a few restaurants, bars and quite a few shops nearby. We booked this hotel mainly because it was affordable and would consider staying here again to save some money while travelling through Europe. Being here during the Christmas Market season was fantastic and there are lots of nice things to do around the city."

"Great location, very cental. Hotel room very noisy though as Xmas market right outside. No instructions for the window blinds so spent the 1st night with no sleep at all due to noise and light. One particular reception staff member was very abrupt and unfriendly. A course on customer service and a smile would help."

"Everything about this hotel was satisfying, from its location and cleanliness to the service and amenities. All the staff who greeted us at check-in were incredibly kind and lovely, which made for a wonderful start to our trip in Luxembourg. The room was a bit small, but it felt like a palace compared to the UK hotels we stayed in afterward. I also really enjoyed being able to use Rituals products. When I mentioned that my sister's birthday fell during our stay, they gave her a lovely birthday surprise, which made it a truly memorable experience. 🥰"

"After arriving in Brussels and having a few drinks, I suddenly decided to take a spontaneous trip. I booked a single room on Ctrip. After getting off the train, I used Huawei's Petal Navigation app and walked about 200 meters to the destination. The receptionist spoke simple English. The lobby had an antique atmosphere, and the magazines in the lobby were antique, with historical photos of Luxembourg. Compared to the furnishings of luxury hotels, it had a sense of history that I loved. The room was small, perfect for one person, but good value. Slippers were provided, but no toothbrush. Please bring them, but you can also buy them at the hotel. We arrived late. There was a supermarket and an Asian noodle shop right outside the door. I had a bowl of wontons for 12.80 euros. It was a delicious experience from home after over a month away. It was very close to the check-in point, within walking distance. I remember that when I took the train from Brussels, I had to get off and change platforms to catch another train to Luxembourg Train Station."

"The hotel is located next to the train station. The room is large and has a small kitchen, but no pots and pans are provided! The room and bathroom are clean, the mattress is a bit soft (personal feeling), and the price-performance ratio is good."

"The hotel is along a quaint street that's almost like uninhabited on a Sunday. I like that there's a bus stop right at the doors that helps with getting around easily. But there's essentially nothing much in the surroundings. The hotel reception is at the bar, one may mistaken it for the bar counter instead. The lobby has a bar vibe, I guess much in line with the brewery history of this building. Room is a little small for 2 persons, leaves little space for moving around if 2 luggages are opened concurrently. I like the open wardrobe concept but I don't get why the electrical sockets need to be hidden behind the side table. The room is also generally very dim and dark, even with all lights switched on. They also provide a bottle of drinking water, just 1 per day and additional bottles are chargeable. Which I felt was a little rigid considering how expensive a room night costs here. The toilet is separate from the shower area which does not have a door. The standing shower has no shower curtain and is half covered, where the water just spills all over outside of the shower area. The bed is firm and comfortable but pillows are too soft for my liking, hardly any support. Room is always clean, kudos to the housekeeping team. Overall, an acceptable stay, but pricey."
