"I visited Glasgow for very first time and I chose Argyll hotel for my stay,I would say very safe and comfortable for female solo traveler, Good for prize. I enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended,would definitely visit again."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay."

"Booked for a business trip. The price was a bit on the higher side, but the location is super convenient. There's a street right behind the hotel with tons of restaurants, offering all sorts of cuisines. The 'Grades Canteen' [restaurant name] behind the hotel tasted pretty good, and they accept WeChat Pay. The hotel is also very close to the University of Glasgow and quite convenient for getting into the city center. Again, the only downside is the slightly elevated price. The room facilities and amenities felt a bit dated, and the breakfast selection was pretty standard. The decor definitely has a 'last century' vibe to it. 😹"

"Transport network was partially down in Glasgow so had to take the bus from another bus stop. Shower and toilet area are separate; thus have to take turns to change inside either area. Rooms are clean! Overall a decent stay!"

"I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC on 13 February for a gig over at the OVO Hydro. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was impressed. A special mention has to go to Sarah in Reception who made my stay extra special with a drink voucher and upgrade to a corner room which I was delighted about. The hotel is ideally located for those attending events at the OVO Hydro and SEC venues - it’s literally across the road and a 2-5 minute walk! The room overlooked both the OVO Hydro and the world-famous crane, a Glasgow icon. It was clean, well-presented and I liked the extra touch of having a hairdryer in-room as well as an ice bucket for bubbles, and the obligatory tea/coffee. The bed was comfortable and I had a rested sleep in it, and the shower works really well. I will 100% return to this hotel and hopefully will be treated like a well-valued guest again!"

"Had a wonderful stay! The hotel is located by the river, just a 5 to 10-minute walk to the city center and also very close to the train station. The room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was large. We received complimentary bottled water and butter cookies daily. The only minor drawback was that the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but the quality was quite good."

"Great location, straightforward checkin, excellent price for twin room apartment. Good kitchen facilities - microwave, hob, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher- and reasonable quantities of crockery, cutlery, tumblers, wine glasses, washing up liquid etc. Good to have separate area with sofa and tv. WiFi perfectly fine. Slept fairly well but beds and especially pillows were very firm, I usually have 3 pillows but often 1 here was adequate. The main niggle was that we had an accessible room even though not requested. We understand it is hotel policy to allocate these when necessary and heard someone else who was disappointed as well. The problem is that if you’re 6 foot tall the low height of bathroom mirror, sink and fixtures makes things difficult to manage easily."

"The hotel is very close to SEC and right next to Exhibition Station, making it super convenient to take the train to Edinburgh and Ayr. The breakfast selection is great, with a good variety of vegetables and fruits (which is rare to find), many types of coffee, delicious juices, and a wide assortment of bread. The room was cleaned daily and kept very neat and tidy. You can even see the University of Glasgow right outside the window."

"Didnt quote understand the idea of not giving two keys to a couple and then having it back whenever leaving. They even took my card details on arrival, which is fine. There was no label to hang on the door to prevent them from cleaning. The next morning when we came back from a quick tour, toilets towels looked changed. That felt kind of sneaky. We should have been told what to expect. And the mirrors position were quite odd in the toilet and the room. The staff was lovely and the location was useful tho. I loved the fried egg breakfast! Ohh and the kettle needed cleaning!"

"Amazing view of the city! Requested for a high floor and thankfully was given one, front reception was friendly and informative. Location was great! Just few minutes away from the railway station and in the middle of many foods and cafes"
