"Exactly what my friend and I were looking for, we were only in the city for 1 night for a concert so for what we needed it done us grand. Rooms are on the smaller side but if it's cheap and cheerful you're after then it does the job, was clean and tidy and no issues whatsoever and if you happen to be heading to the Hydro and taxi's/ubers are an issue at end of the night then, its about a 25min walk back to the hotel."

"I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow and had a lovely experience overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained. The room itself was a little on the smaller side, but honestly perfect for two people - comfortable, cosy, and with everything we needed. We had two beds which were really comfortable, and the room included some nice touches like a coffee machine, plenty of towels, and good quality toiletries. The location was also great - close to the city centre, easy to get around, and quiet enough at night for a good sleep. Everything felt safe and well looked after. The only slight downside was that the service could be a bit slow at times. For example, when calling reception for something, it sometimes took quite a while for them to respond or bring what we asked for. It wasn’t a big issue, but something to be aware of if you’re in a hurry. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly and polite, the hotel had great amenities, and the atmosphere felt relaxing and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great place to stay - clean, comfortable, and convenient. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again."

"Amazing view of the city! Requested for a high floor and thankfully was given one, front reception was friendly and informative. Location was great! Just few minutes away from the railway station and in the middle of many foods and cafes"

"Very basic but thats what you pay for (or no aptly dont), limited in room facilities no kettle, no hairdryers. It wqs quiet and being above a carpark makes for a handy stop if travelling through. Staff at front desk were freindly but the place is quite rough outside the rooms particularly downstairs is all under renovation and only one lift in service was quite frustrating. If you need cheap this was alright, if you can afford more i would probably not return."

"Great location and very helpful staff! They offered free wine and cheese in the evening the night we arrived, which was a lovely and welcome surprise after a long journey. The room is small and the bathroom has glass walls. It was a tight stay with a friend. Provide tea, coffee, an hot chocolate in the room with kettle."

"The service was very friendly. I arrived in the morning, and after self-checking in at the machine, I was allowed an early check-in, which was much appreciated as it's quite rare in the UK where you usually can't check in until the afternoon. When checking in at the machine, be mindful that your room number flashes by quickly, so you'll need to jot it down fast. There's a pen and a card sleeve next to the machine, which is helpful! If you really can't remember, you can ask the front desk or check your email. Emails are very commonly used in the UK, and this hotel also offers online check-out (they'll send an email on the check-out day), or you can simply check out at the front desk. As I hadn't booked breakfast, I went to inquire at the front desk. The staff warmly and politely explained that if you pay at the front desk the day before, breakfast is £14 per person per day. However, if you just walk into the restaurant and pay on the day itself, it's £28. So, a heads-up to everyone: remember to book breakfast in advance if you want to save money! The room came with two complimentary bottles of water, Walkers shortbread biscuits, an electric kettle, and tea sachets. Plus, there was daily housekeeping (which is quite rare in the UK), and they replenished the water and biscuits every day. As is standard practice in UK hotels, there are no complimentary toothpaste, toothbrushes, or slippers, so remember to bring your own. The location is very convenient. Please note that it's close to Central Station. For my trips to and from Glasgow, trains always stopped at Queen Street Station, so don't get them mixed up. However, the walk from the hotel takes you through the busiest part of the city center, which feels quite safe. The hotel is housed in a former customs office building, so it consists of old and new wings, which are interconnected. The old wing houses the front desk and a comfortable lounge/reading area (complete with charging and co-working spaces). The way to the rooms (located in the new wing) is a bit winding at first, but easy once you get familiar with it. Both the elevator entrance and the elevator itself require key card access, which adds to the security. It seems there are quite a few business/conference guests and tour groups staying here, so breakfast tends to get quite busy around 8 AM. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money. While there are other hotels closer to the train station, their reviews weren't great, and this hotel truly lives up to its positive reputation."

"Could be better..we wish that the receiptionist have more knowledge on assisting customer regarding Glasgow activities and transport. Other than that everything better than our London stay..affordable stay but complete..just amenities we need to request"

"The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed  Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it.  Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch.  Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee."

"The place was clean nice and quiet. However the wifi signal I would say was one of the worst that I have ever seen, let alone I was in one of the closest rooms from the front desk. Service was fine in general but on the second last day of my stay, the LED light ***** got dismounted and fell, some might see it as a big deal but it didn't really bother me. I was on a tight schedule so my first available opportunity to let them know about it was when I came back at the end of the day, to my surprise their front desk initial response didn't seem to be apologetic instead was questioning when did it happen and why didn't I let them know earlier. I hope that wasn't a standard level of their front desk service."
