Cheap Hotels in Glasgow

"My fiancé and I were planning a birthday trip to Glasgow and I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel. This hotel came up and was much cheaper than other options. We were certainly not disappointed! The staff, from the receptionist to the bar and restaurant staff, were excellent. They were very friendly and helpful.  Since it was my husband’s birthday, we received a room upgrade and a complimentary drink for both of us, which was a lovely touch. As we walked to our room, the hotel was clean and tidy and smelled great. The room itself was absolutely gorgeous. The layout was very different from anything I’d ever seen. The amenities were great. There was a small fridge, a modern TV with Chromecast so I didn’t need to plug in my Firestick, which I always take on trips as many TVs are outdated or not smart. There was plenty of storage and a safe. And the bed was one of the best features. I didn’t even realise it was electric – amazing! The mattress was actually the best I’ve ever slept on. I’m even considering buying one for my bed at home. The ambience of the whole hotel was amazing. The lighting was perfect and the music in the restaurant was just right – not too loud or too quiet. The food was lovely. Breakfast was buffet-style with plenty of choices, and we also had dinner at Vega on our first night. The menu was great and the food was cooked to our liking. The service was top-notch! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Glasgow. You’ll be well looked after. We’ll definitely be coming back and will also visit their hotel in Edinburgh. I hope Yotel opens more branches around the UK in the future. I’d certainly stay there instead of my usual hotel stays at a popular chain."

"Room was spotless and staff were helpful when needed. Right at bus stops going both towards Glasgow centre and in the opposite direction. The bus that goes directly to the airport is right outside the entrance for those who are needing to go to the airport. Minutes away from Kelvin Grove Park, museum and University of Glasgow. And wide range of places to eat and drink nearby. It’s more expensive than I would have liked to have paid and I extended my stay by couple nights and that costed more than my initial three nights which was a bit crazy. But if you have the budget it’s worth it."

"The room's overall amenities were good, and the mattress was comfortable, helping me sleep well. Although the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, they did have traditional Scottish Potato Scones. The view from the window was decent, and the double-glazed windows effectively blocked out the noise from passing trains. However, there were two main things I was unhappy about: First, upon entering the room, I immediately noticed the tissue box (as shown in image 3) hadn't been tidied. There were only three tissues left, clearly from the previous guest. It made me wonder what the previous guest had done with the tissues to leave them in such a messy state. Second, I had specifically requested *not* to have a corner room before checking in, but for some reason, I was still assigned room 1004, which was a U-shaped room. I hope to see improvements in these areas next time I visit."

"The hotel is quite large, offering self check-in and check-out. There were many guests staying. On the first floor, there's an entertainment area with billiards and table tennis. You can use your room card to get billiard cues and balls. There's also a self-service laundry room where guests can wash and dry clothes for free, which is very convenient. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spacious. The towels were also very soft. It seemed there was no refrigerator, but there was a safe. I recommend staying here, though the room rates were incredibly expensive these past couple of days because of a competition in Glasgow."

"The hotel is very good. Although the building is old, it doesn't feel old. It feels rich and historical. The murals on the corridors show the glory of the past. The bed in the suite was very comfortable, and the sofa turned into a bed for the children to sleep well. The breakfast was great. In general, Scotland was cold enough to make people feel safe and warm."

"The executive room granted me access to the lounge which provided free snacks, drinks, croissants and coffee. The hotel has a wonderful vibe, smells good, bathrooms were excellent, staff were helpful and friendly, room was exceptionally clean and the amenities were very good. The location and view was also excellent - right at the city centre surrounded by a variety of shops, activities, views etc."

"Great location. Quick and easy routes to and from bus station and train station. Lots of shops in area. Can’t comment on breakfast as didn’t book it. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again."
