Cheap Hotels in Tianshui

"Had a great stay. It was off-season, so there weren't many tourists in Tianshui. The B&B is located inside the ancient city, with unique decor. Downstairs, you'll find all sorts of food options. The water heating system ensures no cold water, so it's instantly hot even in winter. The heating was excellent, felt like central air conditioning, and it wasn't noisy. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Fuxi Temple is not far away. A quick note on parking: there are two underground parking garages nearby. One is the Ancient City parking lot, and the other is the Cuijiaxiang parking lot. Strangely, the location the B&B gave me led me to Cuijiaxiang the first night, but then the same location led me to the Ancient City parking lot when I left. The Ancient City lot seemed a tiny bit closer. Both aren't too far, but it's best to confirm with the owner directly. I was contacted proactively by the host around 7 PM on the night I arrived in Tianshui. If you're visiting for tourism, I highly recommend staying here!"

"Honestly, I find this hotel quite ridiculous. I first came here right after it opened, and I even left two positive reviews because the service was excellent back then, including the welcome fruit and the overall reception. But this time, the hotel's service was simply unbelievable. It feels like if you encounter a problem, they won't help you solve it; you're on your own. Their attitude is basically, 'This is how it is, deal with it, and if you have a problem, that's not our issue.' On the first night, at the bar, the bartender was busy attending to foreign customers. I asked for a drink menu three times, and they just ignored me. I ended up having to go to the bar myself to get one, even though there were only two other tables in the lobby at the time. The second day, I felt the room was too low. I didn't want to bother Ctrip directly, but since my membership tier allows for unlimited room upgrades, I first confirmed this benefit with Ctrip's customer service, who then contacted the hotel on my behalf. I also complained to the hotel about their incredibly slow room service. The longest I waited for an order was 40 minutes – that's how long it took for them to deliver an order I could have picked up myself in that time. The duty manager who came to resolve the issue just told me that too many people were ordering and that my room was the best one. What am I supposed to do with that? Should I donate a delivery robot to them? Saying my room is the best is just looking for trouble. Then, the lobby manager called, and after I reiterated the same problem – that the room wasn't good – their solution was to offer a free breakfast. Of course, I didn't eat the breakfast because their breakfast is terrible; I've had it before. Regardless of how the owner arranges things or trains their staff, the overall impression this hotel gives is that either you're an alien, or they simply couldn't care less about you. Everything is incredibly slow. Can't you fix this? Customers want to order food; you're not going to starve us, are you? Or you could just tell us, 'This is all we have, just wait.' Or, 'Your room is on a low floor and not great, just put up with it, it's the best.' 'We can't change your room, so here, have some breakfast.' You complain about a problem, and you never get a proper explanation or a solution. It's utterly perplexing! I should just change hotels. You travel all this way home, carrying so many things, only to deal with this. From a hardware perspective, many reviews have already truthfully pointed out that for this price, it really can't compare to Sheratons in other cities. The quality of this chain brand in this particular city just doesn't measure up. It's not just other cities; even the quality of the drinks at their own bar is inconsistent. The first photo is from this trip, and the second is from February. It's truly baffling. All I can say is that after these few days, I will never stay at this hotel again. It just feels so strange. The staff might think they're working in a five-star hotel, but as a guest, you absolutely do not feel like this is a five-star chain hotel. I even started to wonder if it was a fake, or if all the previous staff were fired after just six months. This attitude is evident from top to bottom, even with the housekeeping staff. For a five-star brand like yours, your staff training should at least live up to your brand's reputation. I simply don't want to communicate with them anymore because it's pointless; problems won't get resolved. It's truly confusing."

"This hotel far exceeded my expectations! The staff were incredibly responsive, patient, and had excellent attitudes. The location is also super convenient for getting around, and the variety of food options is quite extensive, catering to everyone's tastes. It's a great choice to consider, offering good value for money."

"Hotel is relatively new, so everything was clean. Location was 15 minutes walk from Fuxi Temple, so it was ok, still felt that the distance a bit far, especially under the heat. There's free milk tea (more milk than tea, very sweet) and vitamin c orange flavour water (warm, which was strange to me). Their bath towels are wrapped in plastic, so you can be sure it is clean, but not environmentally friendly, as there were 2 plastic bags."

The staff are warm and attentive; check-in and check-out were very efficient, and any requests were promptly addressed. The overall environment is quiet, and the comfort level is high, with great attention to detail. "The room was clean and hygienic. The chubby ragdoll cat in the courtyard was adorable. Tianshui was cool and refreshing. Fuxi Temple was right outside, and Yuquan Temple was also very close. The Tianshui beef noodles and spicy hotpot were both delicious. There was also 'guanguan tea' (pot tea) available, and brewing it myself was a unique experience. The owner even gave us a souvenir, which was a very thoughtful touch. We stayed for two nights and will definitely be back."

"I visited Maiji Mountain Hot Spring Hotel during an off-peak period, and overall, I was very satisfied 👍👍. The hot spring bath was incredibly relaxing. Although there were still quite a few people, it was much quieter than during public holidays, making for a great experience ☺. The staff were diligent and responsible, and their service was very attentive. The biggest bonus points go to the shuttle service and the hotel-wide Wi-Fi coverage. The Wi-Fi signal was excellent, so I could browse on my phone and post on social media effortlessly while soaking in the springs. I highly recommend purchasing the hotel package deals; they're much more cost-effective than buying individual hot spring tickets. Coming during off-peak times for a hot spring stay is both relaxing and enjoyable – highly recommended! Highly recommended!"

Prime Location: You couldn’t ask for a better spot. The hotel is ideally located near major attractions like the Fuxi Temple and the Ancient City. Plus, the access to public transportation made navigating the area completely stress-free. The Room: Our room was impressively big and kept spotlessly clean. After a long day of exploring, the very comfortable bed was exactly what we needed. Housekeeping: The cleaning ladies were so accommodating and friendly; they clearly take great pride in their work and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast: The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety of options to choose from every morning. This hotel combines comfort, convenience, and heart-felt service. It is the perfect base for exploring Tianshui!"

"The hotel facilities are complete, and all staff members are exceptionally kind and always willing to help. We brought our child, and not only did they provide us with disposable amenities for kids, but they also upgraded our room. The hotel has an underground parking garage, and since our car was quite large and had items on the roof rack, the staff actively contacted someone to help us watch it. The room itself was well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. The hotel also features a laundry room (with a dryer, garment steamer, iron, and laundry detergent) and a gym. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit."

Good location, less than 3 km from high speed train station 天水南. Nearby has bus stop and tram stops too. Easy to travel to city or to Maiji grotto 麦积山石窟."
