"Fengshan County is a place that originally required traversing many mountains to reach. We went to Baimo Cave first and then back to the hotel, planning to visit Sanmenhai the next day. This route involved constantly going up and down winding mountain roads. It was quite an experience, as we Cantonese rarely drive on mountains like this. Locals seem used to it, driving aggressively and overtaking on curves without slowing down. Back to the hotel, the fact that I got an elevator room at this price is why I didn't choose a guesthouse within the scenic area, but instead opted for this hotel, which required a 30-minute drive through the mountains. During this part of my Guangxi trip, since arriving in Chongzuo, I've rarely seen people during the day. Arriving in Fengshan just in time for school to let out, I realized it's actually quite lively and has many people living here. The noodle shop downstairs was delicious and very cheap. Prices are really low! The only downside was the muddy roads; it seems like it hadn't rained for a very long time during our visit, so there was a lot of dust. The bathroom and shower are combined in the room, which is a bit of a drawback, but not entirely bad. The layout is a little illogical; you might step on the wrong foot while standing in the shower. However, I do like that they have a squat toilet instead of a sit-down toilet. If the room were a bit larger, it would be perfect."
