"It was my first time staying in a motorhome, and it was beyond my expectations. The Starry Sky Motorhome was very bright and spacious, and the scenery outside the window was beautiful. We watched a yurt performance here, and the children rode a small train and played go-karts. The bonfire party was very exciting, and we all danced together. The next day, we also watched lambs in the pastoral area and drank Mongolian milk tea. I would like to mention that the housekeeper, Miss Li Jiamin, was very warm and considerate in her service, and the children liked her very much."

We were fully worried about how tricky it would be to find and reach the hotel at first, expecting a stressful journey navigating the area. But the management team stepped up with incredible kindness, extreme accommodation and genuine hospitality from the very second we contacted them before arrival all the way through check-in, our entire stay, and even our check-out moment near the hotel entrance. Every single member of the management team treated us like beloved family, not just random paying guests. There was zero cold, robotic hotel service here—they cared about every small worry we had, offered help without us even asking, and always greeted us with warm, sincere smiles. During our whole trip here, we never once felt like we were far away from our own home; their thoughtful, wholehearted care wrapped us in comfort the entire time we stayed. The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good. That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile. Balanced Short Version (Google/TripAdvisor): Great experience thanks to one of the owners, who personally organized activities for us. The dinner and show were a highlight—original Mongolian traditional dance and singing that was unique and impressive. "All resorts are remote from Hohhot, so we took a Didi from Hohhot to the resort. It took 1:50 hours. They resort itself is really nice. The yurts are comfortable and clean. There are plenty of activities that you can do around the resort. Just talk to the service people. We did horse riding, go car, saw a Mongolian show and every evening there is a fire show at the resort. A worker drove us to the activities. The food at the restaurant was a bit pricey but high quality."

"The front desk sister is thoughtful and temperamental. Cleaning aunt cleans on time every day and fills up daily necessities such as washing. The wifi network is stable, the hotel is close to the park and the surroundings are quiet. Staying for two weeks is very good, there is a chance to come 👍"

"This grassland trip was incredibly enjoyable. Seeing the sheep and witnessing the simple, honest behavior of the herders was truly touching. The owner arranged local attractions for us and treated us to a special herder-style price. Money wasn't our concern; the goal was to have a good time. The owner refused any extra money, showing great principle and business acumen. He even gave us two bottles of mare's milk wine as a parting gift. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and highly recommend this place. We'll definitely stay here again! Thank you, Mr. Bao!"

"Bringing my kids to Xilamuren was an amazing experience, and choosing Saihan Homestay was the best decision! The room was spotless and tidy, with a cozy setup and full amenities, perfect for families. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and provided excellent service. The guesthouse surroundings are beautiful, with grassland scenery right outside the door. They also have a private parking lot with free parking and a complimentary bonfire party. My kids had an absolute blast! Our one-night stay was fantastic, and it offers great value for money. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the grasslands!"

"The room is large and the facilities are particularly new. It is indeed a newly opened hotel. The sanitary conditions are first-class, the bed linen is soft and comfortable, it is warm during the day, and it is a bit cold at night but the air conditioner can be turned on."
